TRANSCRIPT FROM TUCKER CARLSON SHOW:
Adding to the sexism, elitism, faith, and threat cards in the White House arsenal, comes the "far right" card.
Speaking in support of Harriet Miers on Tucker Carlson's MSNBC show last night was Brad Blakeman, described by Carlson as "a former deputy assistant to President Bush [who] shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years."
I'm posting the entire transcript of the Blakeman interview below. Go to the parts in bold to see the "far right" business. CARLSON: ...today one of the many questions regarding Harriet Miers has been answered, in part, anyway, in a questionnaire Miers filled out while running for the Dallas city council in 1989. She clearly indicated, or seemed to, that she's opposed to abortion, unless the mother's life was in danger.
Some conservatives are not satisfied with that, but one who appears to be, joins us now from Washington. He is Brad Blakeman. He's a former deputy assistant to President Bush. He shared an office with Harriet Miers for three years.
Mr. Blakeman, thanks for coming on. [SNIP]
BLAKEMAN: No. I think, Tucker, the president could have put forth Mother Teresa, and there were some on the far right that said, "Well, you know, she's not really religious enough for me."
CARLSON: That's totally not true. You know that that's not true.
BLAKEMAN: No, it is true. The fact of the matter is, the far right...
CARLSON: Hold on. Wait. Hold on. Slow down.
BLAKEMAN: The far right thinks that...
Well, I live close enough to "the Valley." Used to live even closer---just a few minutes drive from the Galleria. It's, like, "gag me with a spoon..."
"Shame on you. You'll harm their self-esteem and they might not grow up to be normal boys and girls."
Well when aunt harriet gets on the supreme court, she can mandate equal self esteem for all the boys and girls!
"Ya know something for some reason I can picture you and the rest of the diehard name calling anti-Miers group doing a conehead thing looking up as the three moons joining and shaking your coneheads in ecstacy, in unison, whilst calling everybody else Bots, its kind of ironic."
I've been called a pinhead by my wife. Is that like a conehead? You should be commended for your imagination.
I'm far right and I am all for Dubya's decision to appoint Miers!
But then again being "far" right nowadays means being off the scale since as far as political rhetoric goes in the MSM the "far" left doesn't exist. Thus, one is either moderate or "off scale" far right.
I dont know Hamilton did believe in deficit economics.
What's wrong with that?
"Bush would have been better off nominating Laura."
Shhhhhshsh. Let's don't give him any more ideas.
Do you think that after this is over in a few weeks, Harriet will be available? We need a competent office manager down here. I know she may be a bit over-qualified, but the pay is very good and the perks are above average. Plus, we have rather generous commuter benefits for the users of public transportation.
Now I'm a "bot"?? "Elitist," "sexist," "far right"...all that I could take, but being called a "bot" is deeply wounding psychologically for me.
You really know how to hurt a guy, don't you?
"Don't worry folks, the republicans will start talking nice about us again when they need some votes next year"
You have that right. They keep us in the blind most of the time, but they always trot us out to vote Republican.
It was an attempt to show that many here who also call others here bots also act in a bot like mentality.
(and yes my grammar and composition sucks, I dont feel like being a perfect writer today)
I too get a special warm fuzzy feeling when I see that new posts turn red after a reload.
"It should be easy to spot. Just look for the posts with allot of misspellings and one syllable words"
Hey big fella those are fighting words! I dislike this nominee too, but let's not denigrate our President.
If the shoe fits....
"Here's the funny part, and the key to unlocking the intellectual vacuity of these charges against conservatives: ..."
Excellent tutorial.
