Rep. Kirt Weldon is on Michael Savage's radio program, and he is implying Rumsfeld is the one blocking further investigation into Able Danger.
Weldon is fuming; says he personally (in a committee hearing) asked Rumsfeld about the investigation being blocked. Rumsfeld replied that he would 'get back to Weldon with a response.' Weldon says he still has gotten nothing from Rumsfeld.
Weldon to give a speech in a few moments this evening on the floor of the House. It should be aired on CSPAN this evening.
"I don't know. I'm just saying its possible."
OK. I could be wrong, but here's how I see it. Bush knows about the Able Danger controversy. He has the power to find out what is happening in the Defense Department, if he wants to.
I can't believe he's saying, "Well, there's the Supreme Court thing, and all these budget issues. I don't have time right now."
Think about it. Its 9/11. It's the foundation for the Afghan war, the Iraq war, the war on terror, Bush's presidency, in essence. Our nation at this point in time. The world.
So what is it. He's not interested in what happened?
He wants to know, but some bureaucrat says, "Sorry, Mr. President, your security clearance isn't high enough. You were convicted of drunk driving."

I just looked over that list and the Powell name and title seemed to fit more than the others to ME...but that isn't saying much.
Weldon didn't mention the NAME, did he? I seem to remember he just mentioned "the NEW head of the DIA", right?

Yeah that's the part I don't get. It's almost as if too many morons on both sides have their hands in this pot. There's enough info from this case alone to make a case for sending Clinton to jail, not to mention all his other over-looked scandals. Then we allow for the indictments of Delay and possibly others??
There's enough here to bury the entire Dem party. I think there's something here we're not supposed to know, something isn't adding up.
