Heads up! Seconds From Disaster, TWA Flight 800 (2005) Documentary on National Geographic on now Channel 276 Direct TV
Then there's the EastWind Air pilot who was looking right at Flight 800 when it exploded. He reported no missiles.
Tonight on Discovery a team in New Mexico used a full size tank and jet A, and they got it to blow with a spark of only 75 millijoules. That's the amount of energy expended when you shock yourself on a doorknob.
P.S. If Flight 800 was an "accident", then Lee Harvey Oswald also "accidentally" shot JFK.
________
Then Flight 800 was an accident.
Lee Harvey Oswald DID kill Kennedy, there is no doubt in my mind, no contradicting the Physics based re-creations of the shots and the trajectory and location they traveled from. You will have to do a lot of digging before you find the truth in a lot of cases, in the JFK case, there is a TON of BS to muddle through until you come to the inescapable conslusion that Oswald killed Kennedy.
Yes, I believe Flight 800 was an accident.
Then what was the streak climbing toward the aircraft claimed to have seen by over 160 eyewitnesses?
You said -- "I did not realize bomb residue was found..."
That's because they threw a reporter in jail for "finding" it...

1. Jack Cashill 'outed' himself as a nut with some later ravings on another subject; and
2. A fellow-freeper who's been a USAF pilot and is an airline pilot now sent me some results of his own research. That changed my mind about it being an accident.
WTF did you post to me anyway? I don't recall chiming in on this subject for at least 2 years?
1. I now believe that TWA 800 was an accident, and not a terrorist attack.
2. Oswald acted alone, as all the evidence has indicated from the very beginning - no argument there.
I think that my post you were replying to was made by me BEFORE that fellow-Freeper shared his wisdom with me about TWA 800 and convinced me that it was an accident....
You should know that this pilot you refer to, David McClaine, doesn't deny the possiblity that a missile was involved. He just says he didn't see one. I spoke with him several years ago on three occasions face to face, once for over an hour, and he agreed that his downward/forward visibility was such that he might not have been able to see a missile rising to the TWA 800. This is reflected in his NTSB interview conducted more than a year AFTER I spoke to him about this.
