Portions of I-95 briefly shut down on concerns over suspected terrorist plot; Uncorroborated information said to come from source abroad
Federal authorities are detaining at least one man of Egyptian origin who worked at a Middle Eastern market in Baltimore in connection with a threat that closed Interstate 95 and the Harbor and Fort McHenry tunnels after concern over a suspected terrorist plot to blow up one of the tunnels.
The shutdown caused gridlock throughout the metropolitan region as police and federal agents investigated the threat.

HA! How true. Many years ago when I was traveling with my mom, Caucasian and American, who was 85 or 86 at the time, they had security checks at the gates for "selected" individuals AFTER you were checked at the usual security belt sites. At the gate area she was frisked and made to remove her shoes, plus all her carry-on luggage was inspected. I asked the dark-skinned guy with an accent, who was performing the check, where he was from. He said, "Pakistan."
A good Irish Catholic name, if I ever heard one.
Execute him, and deport his corpse to Egypt.
UPDATE: They've arrested 4 and detained as many as 30 Egyptians from the Baltimore area in connection with this investigation. They are operating out of middle eastern businesses.

He may have got away with the NO levee, but at least they put an end to his reign of terror before he was able to take out the Baltimore Tunnel.

"Terrorists Among Us", an important film. Woke me up big time back in 1996. I wish more people could see this film. It should be shown on TV at least once a week.
