TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) - Police used tear gas to break up a rock-throwing crowd that had gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by the National Socialist Movement.
At least two dozen members of a Roanoke, Va.-based group that calls itself "America's Nazi Party" had gathered at Wilson Park just before noon and were to march under police protection.

I just saw the local (Houston) CBS affiliate report on this story.
Just as biased as I feared.
Mentioned it was black youths rioting. Nazi march. Mayor suspected gang involvement.
Tv footage clearly showed some white agitators but they weren't mentioned.
At the close of the report it was said that the nazis cancelled their protest "about black violence on whites" (was it that or an individual case) becuase of the violence (when actually they cancelled on the threat of the violence, which then happened anyway).
No mention of the Canadian/UK/US organizers of the counterprotest (they brought hundreds to the movement) nor their political affiliation.
Local Fox affiliate is about to report.
To add to the insult, the anchor then said "But there was another more diverse rally today..." as the intro to Farrakhan's Millions More March.
Fox report began with the detail that the nazi march didn't actually happen.
Didn't mention the counter protester organizers. Only showed black people tearing down a fence.
They are being made to be the fall guys.
Again this story was followed up with a report on the MMM.
I just saw this on the news a second ago and one of the Nazi spokesmen was none other than Bill White. Several years ago, he had infiltrated some Republican, FR, and pro-gun groups in Montgomery County, MD and caused embarrasment and disruption at a city council meeting. Last I heard, he was proclaiming himself as a "librtatian anarchist" and had a website called, I think, overthrow.com or some such that was being shut down by the feds. So he's a uniform wearing Nazi now. Good. I like my targets clearly identified.
Mine may be older and was taught with historical accuracy.
Btw, do you really think that people in the 1700's would have given society carte blanche to say whatever came into their heads? Considering that in their day and age you could be killed for critisizing the government, what did you think they'd mean? The press was also jailed etc for shining a light on government so the "old guys" made certain that it would be a protected right too.
Let me clarify that to state the black youths/"gangs" are being made the fall guys. This does not help race relations and is not accurate (although they did violate law).

His website was not "shut down by the feds" in fact it is still up.

At some point in my pre-nap state, I heard Page Hopkins' commentary. The woman was watching anarchy unfold before her very eyes. Her awe and outright honesty caused me to turn and see what the heck was going on.
Before my eyes I saw, well I simply could not believe it. People were going in people's homes and bringing out goods. Other gang members, rioters, whoever they were, were tearing apart a fence and using the boards to ram a building.
Gangs of black males finally opened what I suppose was a store. They then began to throw stuff out of the store out into the crowd. At one point I could swear they were throwing COINS out to the crowd.
Page Hopkins lost it a bit when, again before our disbelieving eyes, we saw a gang of thugs run into a building and then saw the building erupt in flames.
With all this and mine own lying sleepy eyes not believing this mess, the camera pans out to where the cops were.
Which was NOT, ladies and gems, anywhere NEAR where all this criminal activity.
Somebody at Fox was trying this lame political justification like "they're probably just letting them get out their anger, vent their frustrations", as reason why the cops weren't moving. I dunno but it was surreal watching on one hand the utter chaos and lawlessness of that gang of thugs then to pan away and watch a couple of scores of cops, all of them just walking about mindlessly.
Page probably got taken off the air because she was like the rest of us out here in la-la land. WE GOT EYEBALLS!
We KNOW what the hell we were seeing. We were seeing criminals, crime...unfettered, unashamed, unquenched.
I don't know what the story is with the cops. About ten minutes later they did start moving towards the chaos.
And Fox did go on to another story to my complete amazement. THIS was the story of the day and they had a camera capturing it all.
It's all still new yet. The truth will come out. Some Blogger somewhere will get to the bottom of it.
But it was the damn strangest thing my lying eyeballs have seen since...well since New Orleans.
I understand the political oppression that happened during that time. I didn't say that your interpretation was incorrect - I implied it was too narrow. So, please, save your strawman for an upcoming autumn festival.
I think that had they meant it to apply only to criticizing the government, they would have INCORPORATED that. Since the BOR is a restriction on the fedgov, I think your arguments for a narrow interpretation are empty.

It doesn't seem like there is a side to cheer for in this thing. Obviously neo nazis are getting no sympathy. But the riot that ensued has no excuse and seems to involve gang members. It seems to me violent gangs are at least as dangerous as neo nazis in the present day.
Moderately yes, but it's no cleveland or ann arbor and it's mostly a stronghold of union dems rather than the moonbat socialists.
