In a deliciously ironic twist of fate, shortly before airing a segment aimed at embarrassing the Bush administration by suggesting that it had staged a video conversation between the president and soldiers in Iraq, the Today show was caught in staging . . . a video stunt.
In the Bush/Iraq segment, Today screened footage indicating that prior to engaging in a video conversation with President Bush, soldiers on the ground in Iraq were given tips by a Department of Defense official.
But the only advice that the official was shown as giving was a suggestion to one solider to "take a little breath" before speaking to the president so he would actually be speaking to him. It was also stated that some of the soldiers practiced their comments so as to appear as articulate as possible. But there was no indication, or even allegation, that the soldiers were coached as to the substance of their comments or in any way instructed what to say.
Today's timing couldn't have been worse. A preceding segment focused on the incessant rains and ensuing flooding in the northeast. For days now, beautiful, blonde - and one senses highly ambitious - young reporter Michelle Kosinski has been on the scene for Today in New Jersey, working the story. In an apparent effort to draw attention to herself, in yesterday's segment she turned up in hip waders, standing thigh-deep in the flood waters.
Taking her act one step further, this morning she appeared on a suburban street . . . paddling a canoe. There was one small problem. Just as the segment came on the air, two men waded in front of Kosinki . . . and the water barely covered their shoe tops! That's right, Kosinski's canoe was in no more than 4-6 inches of water!
An embarrassed Kosinski claimed the water was deeper down the street but that her producers didn't want to let her go there for fear she'd drift away. But Katie and Matt, perhaps peeved by her attempted scene-stealing, couldn't resist ribbing her.
Matt: "Are these holy men, perhaps walking on top of the water?"
"Gee, is your oar hitting ground, Michelle?" inquired Katie, as she and Matt dissolved into laughter.
Moral of the story: people in canoes in four inches of water shouldn't throw video-stunt stones.
Finkelstein has degrees from Cornell University and Harvard Law School.He lives in Ithaca, NY where he hosts "Right Angle," a local political talk show. Finkelstein specializes in exposing liberal bias at NBC's Today Show.

Exactly, and that's why I think it's useful to keep track of what they're up to. And then there are days like this that make it all worthwhile!
It's serious infotainment. Serious because they are subtly brainwashing the sheeple to move leftward and accept bizarre & perverted lifestyles

I've taped or Tivoed the Today show when they've had a good musical guest playing outside. Now that was a fresh and original concept. The most useful thing the Today show does

The Today show moves people to the left just by their choice of news to cover and people to interview. This is the biggest sin of the Today show and all our mainstream media. They can (try to) kill you just by ignoring you. Such as with the Swift Boat Vets
You have to be creative and use brainpower to slant a news item you cover. The best & easiest way to slant the news is to cherry pick the news and people you cover in order to move viewers & readers over to your liberal-leftist mindset. For the Today show I would say liberal-leftist producers call a lot of the shots here

Fox has turned into another left wing CNN(clintoon News Network) Shiphead Smith and Whoraldo Screamviera both should housed in a mental institute or federal prison.
Fox is "Non Persona Grata" in my household.

Fox is sensationalistic, blows things out of proportion etc like all the other MSM. A story needs conflict and “bad news” sells.
HOWEVER, Fox is politically more center than CNN (especially CNN international). Fox when they do report something controversial at least attempts to give both sides a word (Even on O'Reily), unlike CBS which often engages in one sided discussions where you have two liberals and a moderator discussing something.
The SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) on Fox tend to be more accurate especially when it comes to military related stories. Some of the crew is former military and (Example Major who I think was a Marine) they tend to be more sensible in reporting, having a clue of what they are reporting on-unlike Christiane Amanpour.
Afghanistan, CNN said it’s too high, to cold, remember Alexander the Great, the British Empire and Russians failed! We will wait until Spring (CNN statements, literally!). FOX’s Balaqua, was 100% dead on accurate.
Iraq, it’s too hot, we’re missing our window of opportunity, we’re bogged down outside Baghdad, the bloodiest battle will now ensue-the battle for Baghdad…….FOX was 100% accurate while CNN missed again.
I’m not talking about style or taste. Measurably, FOX has been more accurate.
