You know Ern, that quake was awfully bad, and I pray for their souls....
But certain Muslims blamed "Allah's Wrath" against the USA for Katrina. So now who do they blame for "Allah's Wrath" regarding this earthquake? I guess Allah is an equal opportunity moon god.

Makes me wish I was the proverbial fly on the wall to hear what was in those phone calls to make the folks change their mind.
Yes.
Earlier in the week, Tony Snow (in the 'very apprehensive' group) said he was getting inundated with calls from the WH asking him to support the nomination. He didn't go into details of the substance of the calls, however.

I like Fred Barnes, he is a very decent person and very smart. I think he is a little naive though. In the 2004 presidential race, he expected that once Kerry got the Democratic nomination, the media would do analysis and research on his record. Never happened.
Also, he does not expect any indictments in the Plame case. That would make sense, but apparently Fitzgerald is going creative on us, which means he feels the pressure from the MSM to issue indictments.

Thanks, as usual, AB for the thread.
Looks like a pretty weak lineup today.
There are a load of topics today it will be interesting to see what surfaces and what does not.
Will the hammer get hammered, does anyone like Harriet Miers--and is it our job to support the Presidents pick or not, was Valerie Pflame a spy or merely a trophy wife/wannbe spy and was there even anything to even out,how much do we spend on nat. disasters like hurricanes, the earthquake in Pakistan--do building codes really matter, and finally just to list a few topics, what is the world record for a political party demagoguing a sitting president. I think the rats have just set a new record. If Bush's tie is on crooked can they impeach.
Let the games begin.
Today I thought I might do something a bit different. I am asking for your input. If you have a favorite post or would like to give suggestions for the top three posters, let me know via freepmail.

Remember these: Enron & Ken Lay
9/11 commission
extension of 9/11 commission until election
McCain's snubbing swift boat veterans
McCain's abuGharib eruption for the media
McCain's fast forgiving Dick Durbin's non-apology for comparing military to nazi
Mediacrat's katrina blunder
Media's constant poll manipulation
latest try of McCain's intrusion of Presidential war power
During all these incidents, so called elite conservatives instead of offering intelligent defense they joined with those others & thew some stones of their own on W. Why should W care about you?
Fred was saying on Hugh's radio show that these 'elite' opinion writers think that they won the Presidency & installed Bush, but it 's the other way around. Bush expanded conservative base in House, Senate, State level & Governorship beating history. That 's a fact.

The recurring thought I have is that we're setting the Libs up for a big fall on this one.
They're all out there rushing to defend her and talk about how bad it is that Conservatives are lanbasting her and to me it seems like that's cutting off any avenue the Rats have for badmouthing her once she gets before the Judicial Comittee.

FACE THE NATION (CBS): Sens. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., and Charles Schumer, D-N.Y. C. Schumer - male chauvinist pig
Here's a question that Chuckie will dodge--
"Can a woman belong to your lodge?"
Female Masons he'd thwart,
But he'd help gals abort
His thinking is such a hodge-podge.

...But certain Muslims blamed "Allah's Wrath" against the USA for Katrina. So now who do they blame for "Allah's Wrath" regarding this earthquake? ... Easy answer, the Pakis are "assisting" the Great Satan in their Crusade against the true believers, natch'.

I thought Kristol was way out of line but then for that matter most of the so called "Conservative experts" have been. Strikes me they are peeved that one of their cronies did not get nominated.

Ah yes, of course. But he didn't get Musharraf, who has a cat's nine lives, it appears. And since the General is the chief supporter of the USA, I guess the ole moon god messed up once again!

PLame, Rove, the "Hammer",it's all the same.
The rats (like Rush says) are "desperate" to get something on us.
GW has run such a clean adm. it's starting to reflect on just how dirty/underhanded Bubba and theClintonistas were.
the rats worst nightmare is that some people will start to think "now do we want a return of that in 08"? The only chance for the rats is to demagogue GW even if they have to lie, spin, extend and create new truths via the msm. in hopes that they can say(with tongue in cheek) see the bush adm. was corrupt also.
The only counter to their lies of course is the new media,us. It will be up to us to make sure the real truth gets out. No one else will carry the flag.

Rod, I'd rather not. I'm just the guy that gets the ball rolling. Besides, I've been spending all Sunday morning in Church, as I'm now teaching Sunday school after Mass. By the time I get home, there's so many posts that it takes me untill 9:00 PM to get thru them!
