Senator John McCain, who was subjected to years of horrific treatment at the hands of the North Vietnamese in a prisoner of war camp, knows more than most people about prisoner abuse and torture. That's why the Arizona Republican's appeal for the United States to adhere to humane standards when it cares for prisoners in the war on terror was accepted by his Senate colleagues, who voted 90-9 for his bill to regulate how U.S. armed forces treat captured enemies. We hope President Bush will end his pointless resistance and back the measure. The vote represents one of the only times Congress has dared to challenge the White House during the prosecution of a "war against terror" that has consistently embarrassed the United States. That the White House would come out against Senator McCain's anti-torture bill is disappointing yet hardly surprising, and it has even threatened to veto the spending bill calling for $445 billion for defense that includes the McCain measure.

Probably just beyond his capacity. Can't blame a maggot for being a maggot.
Obviously that makes it the strangst troll we seen yet. Let's bag this one up and examine the corpse lol
Can't check the post now but his e-mail to me was at 7:46 am so maybe it was one of his first posts. He had about two pages worth when I went to check on him.
Sounds definite. OK, it's officially weird.
It was pretty obvious he knew well the Herb - and I don't mean the guy from the Burger King commercials.
Would a removed comment still show in hist posting history?
You forgot to mention that he frightens the neighborhood children and dogs and prompts exclamations of "Good God! What is that thing?!" from the women.
Cool how did you do that? And what does FWIW mean?
Awww! Ferocious kitten!
You are not intruding. We were just talking about the troll that got zotted.
I hope it doesn't give him a tummy ache
Click on the reply button for any post on the thread with the deleted post, and when the URL for replying appears in the address bar, replace the number of the post you're replying to with the number of the post you want to recover. For example, when clicked to make this reply, the url was
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/post?id=1498911%2C69
If I changed that to
http://www.freerepublic.com/perl/post?id=1498911%2C19
I would be telling FR's server that I was replying to post 19 (the racist garbage), and post 19 would appear as the text of the OP. It doesn't always work, but usually.
FWIW = For What It's Worth
This has got to be one of the oddest trolls, and post history page glitches of all time.
Thanks for the reassurance. I'm still feeling my way around here.
BTW, if that's an example of....well....I'm not sure what it's called here (FR terminology is still somewhat of a mystery). Whatever it was, I'm now in awe of Hillary and realize that I should begin remedial vocabulary lessons post haste!
If it does, I hear the best cure is "hair-of-the-dog."
Very cool. Thanks.
Just don't take the Squeedleyspooches as a trophy.
Your brother is the official Defiler of Trollish Squeedleyspooches.
Works best this way:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1498911/reply?c=73
becomes:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1498911/reply?c=19
Sometimes just copying it from the nav bar above doesn't work for some odd reason.
