BSD - Welcome, don't think your a troll...you just don't agree with the President sometimes...neither do I.

Unfortunately, a lot of people don't like to hear it....Can't say that I blame them....there has been a large amount of whining going, especially during the past week...

You also got to have thick skin when you post here....people do like to be sarcastic and ruffle other peoples feathers at times.........

Maybe baseball playoffs?

True, but I understand Bush was going to give this speech awhile ago, then Katrina, Rita, etc. got in the way so they put it off. He could've got it in during prime time before the baseball playoffs.

It's a shame, it was a great speech and so many people who work during the day will never hear it. Or they'll hear clips of it tonight on the MSM complete with the media spin... they've had hours to "tinker" with Bush's speech unfortunately.

Better check with the 49% Democrats before using the all inclusive "WE" pronoun.

I'll check with the other 48% when they consult me as they claim to speak for the other 52% of the country.

Of course, when you consider the number of voter fraud cases in the courts against the demonRATS, my guess is the split is closer to 38% vs 62%

Yes, I get the feeling something is afoot as well. Either something pre-emptive or a retaliation for Bali (and possibly the foiled/failed Norman,Oklahoma bombing).

This was a solidly crafted speech and the President delivered it really very well.

This time I could accept his "religion of peace" comment because he drew out the "islamo-fascist" element in such clear terms. To be honest, whenever I hear him say :religion of peace: I tune him out, get furious, and wonder why I voted for him. But not this time. He sounded the right notes with his argument.

So then you would think a person should register and then wait 2 years to post?

Oh give me a break! I, by FReeperdom standards, am still a newbie. Not once since my first post on the day I signed up have I been pointed to as a troll. NOT ONCE!

I've been referred to as a newbie, but generally in a amicable way. I am glad I was not on this thread when it was live, as you clearly were here for one reason...to disrupt. You have provided numerous reasons to be singled out. If you don't understand that, this may not be a good home for you.

The MSM will always do what they do best and that is anything to destroy Bush, conservatives and the US as a whole.

I just don't know "what" they want to govern if successful, a tenth world entity?

RE 113
Pretend to be aggrieved party while having endless ambitions of totalitarianism. They wish to control every part of life, to rule the soul itself. Claim free peoples are weak and decedent.

Was he talking about Islamofacists or Democrats?.....

Anyone know how to get google to fix this:

Goto google and type "failure" without quotes.

Hit "I'm Feeling lucky".

Just saw this on another site.

I thought it was a great speech and very clear in its tone and message which has been rare from this inarticulate President.

I thought it was intended to point our country in the right direction especially in regards to the War on Terror. It reinforced the outlook that this a global struggle against Islamic Fundamentalists. This is the subject where I love my President.

I think it is important to focus on the big picture of ideals especially when Bush has been such a miserable failure on the domestic front.

Couple this with an excellent SC appointment and Bush has made some real progress in my mind.

Very good speech all around I thought. The president or speech writers may have taken the time to read the following two books the past couple of weeks or weekends:

"The West's Last Chance" Blankley

and

"New Glory" Peters

Both all around are very goog books.
