I'm with duffthor...what's wrong with tailgaters? Usually, they're the most loyal fans. The only people I know who have a problem with tailgaters are vegetarians, teetotalers and the guy in charge of promoting the athletic dept.'s concession sales inside the stadium.

No kidding! Actually several posters have remarked about this flimsy excuse of spring break. Who do they think they're kidding? Could it be that the Algiers ticket is a red herring?

I haven't been on an airplane in years, but I think you're referring to a ticket bought online, not the old "E tickets from prehistoric Disneyland ; )

I sat through the John Blake era and if terrorists think they is going to keep me from a game, they can go pound salt. Like most Sooner fans we support our team in the good times and bad times. This is a rebuilding year with a very young team after losing so many people to the NFL and having two inexperienced quarterbacks. They are improving each week as they get more experience and win or lose after a five-year winning streak, I will be right there cheering them on when Baylor comes to town.

The ovation for the team coming out on the field Saturday night was huge and that was coming off a loss to UCLA. People understand around here that think -- the others are bandwagon jumpers that didn't sit through that night game against A&M in the last year of Blake with snow and ice in the stands as we got blown out. But it sure was great two years ago to blow A&M out -- they actually gave up.

GO SOONERS!

I just thought of something.

If that Islamic society has camera why doesn't the FBI/JTTF get a court order for their tapes and check to see if Hinrichs was there.

Of course they may have already deleted them, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

Remember all the train derailments that have happened since then? Don't forget about the numerous bus incidents right after 9/11 - those were kept very quiet as well.

I think speculation on train wrecks, bus accidents and refinery fires as being caused by some grand Islamic conspiracy approaches tinfoil hat wearing. Those things happen everyday due to human error or natural causes. For example, the Amtrak train that derailed last week hit boulders that had fallen on the track. Refinery accidents usually occur due to someone not following safety regulations or not having been trained in proper procedures.

We need to focus in on this incident and the obvious glaring lapses or deliberate falisifications in the known facts surrounding this incident. For example, Channel 9 has tape and has talked to several persons who tried to search Hinrich's backpack upon stadium entry and he refused. This establishes to my satisfaction that he did indeed try to enter the stadium with a bomb.

He lived with a Muslim in a mainly Muslim apartment complex and had large quantities of bomb-making materials all over the place, and yet the police and the press continue with the fantasy that he was a lone bomber and the Muslims were not involved. Come on, if I had a roommate who was doing explosives and I was not involved, I would sure as heck get out of there. Maybe I wouldn't go to the police (if I was a Muslim and feared scrutiny), but I would be concerned enough for my own safety that I would not stay there.

Focus on filling in the details of what we do know and debunking obvious misstatements/lies of the other media and the OU administration who, for different reasons, want the truth and real story suppressed.

Hinrichs III a Jewish name? It's slavic

I think he was joking. It would be unlikely for a Jewish person to be named Jr. or III.

I'm talking about highway tailgaters, not people eating food in a parking lot before a football game.

All I know it had a directional device and have learned since they found metal in the surrounding area and trees. Just wanted to blow himself up -- yeah right. He either got blown up by accident or people with him blew him up as he was out of control. He failed his mission thanks IMHO to the alcohol policy at OU where they REALLY check bags of everyone coming back into the stadium near halftime.

(4th post, 4th thread)

I think this Guy was a pathetic Suicide Bomber. Listen, his goal was to kill Football fans... The reason I say so is because if you frequent the Gory and Snuff websites, like "The OGRISH" (sp?) and the like...

you will see that most "Crime Lab or Criminal Scene" photos, where a suicide has taken place, are of hangings or gun shots to the head or bank robbers who are at the end of the road and then kill themselves....., or of people jumping in front of trains or off buildings, or suicide by cop, ETC.

The suicides that have to do with BOMBs are of suicide bombers. You will see these pictures on those websites as well and the only part that remains is the tenacious and all durable head. The head doesn't explode. : ) I know it's wild.

I think America has seen it's first Suicide Bomber. Although I could be wrong.

Even on America's Most Wanted... there was a famous guy --- the Pizza Deliver Guy in NY State or PA, that was a Bank Robbers when someone forced him to go in with a Bomb secured around his neck. This guy said he was innocent and that the authorities should take the bomb off his neck. He didn't want to die.

The Bomb and Suicide combination is not the normal M.O.(Method).

Well that is my take and that's all folk... Have a great day.

Statistically and categorically sound... backed up by years of viewing Crime Scene photos.

J.C. Watts said one time if the Tulsa World supported him he would know he was going to lose. I am sure Dr. Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe feel the same way about the Tulsa World. Part of the birdcage papers IMHO!

Speaking of my two Senators -- they were only two of nine Senators that voted against what I call "be nice to terrorist" bill.

" You're not crazy at all. I caught the 9/11 coverage just after the first plane hit and at that point they were talking accident"

In the end I am not sure how they would have forced AMR or UAL to swallow the 'suicidal pilot' theory, which would kill their business, but that seems the most logical explanation.

It will be the safest game around after this. They always say after a plane crash to get on that particular carrier because everything has been checked and rechecked. Would bet our stadium and our bags will be searched very thoroughly. I just hope they replace the rent-a-cops with the real deal and that doesn't mean OU PD who are great at giving parking tickets.

he had a Muslim roommate

As I recall, it is expressedly forbidden for a Muslim to socialize with non Muslims, or even go into their homes.

If Cheema was a practicing Muslim, especially a practicing Wahabbist, it is unlikely he would ever live with an infidel.

I don't believe Americans have that much of a narrow, herd mentality, that if a homicide bomber blew himself up at a football game, they'd avoid only football games and think they were safe everywhere else.

It's not about what the public believes, it about what the folks selling college football believe.

"LOL! Well, you ARE on an OU Sooners thread!!"

Well, I might envy the football tailgaters a bit, but I don't want them to burn in hell. Since my diabetes diagnosis, I'm more likely to be eating a gardenburger and a glass of water than a hot dog and a beer, but I do cheat a little every once in a while.
