Your friends blogs were very enlightening,I would recommend folks to sample several of them. They weer informative and refreshing, just one crank in the crowd. Very bright group, came to the same conclusions that most Freepers did---at least that's the way it looked to me.

Thought it interesting that someone rather in jest, said that David Boren was Skull and Bones 1963. Might explain the good relationship between he and the Presidents Bush which has been noted on these threads.

INDCON,sorry,I pinged you by accident, didn't put an s on indcons ping.

Ovrtaxt, thought you might find post#801 interesting.

Jaysun,The link to the person who wrote about "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" contained a good review of the movie. I agree with him in that it was an eerie, terrifying movie but accurate. I can see where he would be particularly spooked by the five minutes of the game that was missing.

“I do not say suicide, I say it’s an individual death that we’re dealing with. That’s all we really know.”

And if Hinrichs had made it into the stadium, and, say, a thousand people had died, would Boren be saying, "We are dealing with one thousand individual deaths"?

but there are lots of coincidental happenings in Oklahoma involving Middle Eastern men

The terrorist goings-on in Oklahoma began, and are the result of, the resettling of Iraqi Republican Guards in and around OKC after the first Gulf War. That act gave terrorists a foothold here and a base of operations. Since nothing has been done to clean up the area and get rid of them, they are still there and they continue to operate from there. And all of the "coincidences" involving OKC and Norman, and the terrorist traffic that has moved through there (such as Atta and other 9/11 operatives), highlights the fact that there has definitely been a link between Iraq and Al Qaeda over the past decade.

Reason #2: The government doesn't want to panic the people. There is the threat of misguided vigilante violence aimed at mosques and Muslims in general. With the army and the national guard abroad, the last thing we need is to have civil strife here.

maybe that is exactly what we need to do, run them out of the country.. govt is restricted by PC'ism, we aren't

The Rennaisance began here with such actions undertaken at incredible cost (for their time) by Christians, Moslems and Jews working together.

I don't think you are talking about Spain. At the time that Columbus asked for money for discovering America, after Spain pushed the Moors out, the Jews were massacred in Spain.

Ireland was the source of knowledge for the West for a number of Centuries...

I guess Isabella and Ferdinand were logged into the Nazi sites though, since they kicked out the Jews and Moslems. The folks who converted moved to the Americas quickly.

So Cortes was either Jewish or Muslim. NOT!!!

Cortes spent 9 days (the length of a Christian Novena) in front of the Statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe (in Spain -- this was before Our Lady of Guadalupe existed in Mexico).

Cortes did this to atone for the sins of conquering the Mexican capital of Montezuma.

Are you trying to re-write history...

In lands where there were consistent battles going on (i.e., Spain/Portugal), such people have a heritage that is influenced by both sides. When rape, pillage, plunder occurs, then the cultures are crossed.

It is my personal belief that the ships ladened with Gold were more the result of the enrichment of Spain.

The best and brightest would have traveled to Spain for A Few Dollars More (which was filmed in Spain) or perhaps for a Fistful of Dollars (which was also filmed in Spain).

You can see the curb. I think that means you have the authority to tow it all away. Private Parking -- violators will be beheaded.

Actually, probably more a violation of the National Security Act. Kind of a waste to have to use a satellite pic when you can get local pics.

Standing in front of the camera lens is a naughty thing to do... The lightning bugs are made to explode on impact around this center. Or maybe other bugs fly down people's throats with pinpoint accuracy.

The ol' motorcycle joke of you know a happy motorcyclist by the bugs bewteen his teeth may be changed in Norman to: you know the smiling Muslim OU student from the radio signals between his teeth...

The more I learn about this, the more I think that he was supposed to be inside the stadium at 8. He kept getting turned away, so he blew up on the bench, alone, instead of killing and/or maiming lots of people.

My theory is that he intended to get the bomb into the stadium and then leave. He had no intention of killing himself. Why else would he still have bomb-making materials in his apartment? What was he saving those materials for? Why didn't he use everything he had if this was going to be his first, and last, bombing?

If he was going to blow himself up, he could very easily have had the bomb on his person. But he didn't. It was in the backpack. So I must surmise he was going to leave the backpack in the stadium and then take off. This plan is what foiled him, as he couldn't get into the stadium because they wanted to search the pack. Had he intended to kill himself and had had the bomb on his person, he would have gotten in. What irony.

Having tried several times to get into the stadium without success, he realized the only way to get the bomb inside was to have it on his person. Even then, he probably didn't intend to die in the explosion, but still planned to leave the bomb and get away. So he decided to go to a quiet spot where he could take the bomb out of the pack and hide it under his clothing without being seen by gate security. He chose the bench, and he sat down to make the transfer. While making the transfer, he accidentally set off the bomb.

If he hadn't accidentally set it off, he would have returned to the stadium, probably to a different entrance that he hadn't tried before, and gotten in. And the resulting events would be all over the MSM, instead of this media blackout we have now.

Oh, I remember _jim. That guy rubbed me the wrong way. The recent hoboken109 came across the same way he did.

Yeah, I saw that earlier. It was pretty pathetic behavior from a so called professional. She was mocking anybody that believed there could be a muslim connection.

One more reason I don't watch 5's news.

I agree. I remember blowing myself up in 68, then again in 76, and once again in 85. Always over a girl. Gee it hurt!

The Norman Transcript
Boren, FBI say there is no known current threat related to Saturday's explosion
By James S. Tyree
Transcript Staff Writer

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "University of Oklahoma President David Boren on Tuesday said investigators are saying there is no known threat connected to the Saturday bomb explosion near a packed football stadium, and an FBI press release repeated Boren's opinion.

OU engineering student Joel Henry Hinrichs III died when an explosive near or on him detonated as he sat on a bench outside George Lynn Cross Hall, the botany/microbiology building, on the South Oval. About 100 yards to the east was Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where more than 84,000 people were watching the OU-Kansas State football game."

ARTICLE SNIPPET #2: "The FBI has not announced details about the bomb, but Channel 5 News reported Tuesday night that Hinrichs' bomb contained acetone peroxide, or TATP. The highly unstable chemical can be made from household items, but it is very sensitive to heat and shock.

Law enforcement found more bomb-making materials Sunday at Hinrichs' residence at the Parkview Apartments, and they were detonated that evening. Earlier last week, Hinrichs tried to buy ammonium nitrate fertilizer from Ellison Feed and Seed in east Norman."
