Ticket to Algeria was found linking back to his Pakistani roommate

Hinrichs attempted to enter the stadium and may have had a ticket to the game
You're quite welcome. Keep up the good work on this event...

Maybe there is a quidam connection.
Mr. Hinrichs was obviously blowing up turtles on fenceposts.
Did you hear Joel's dad call into the show just now?
Found out some more info. On Sunday afternoon when two people I know well went out walking (they were nosey) on the South Oval they saw kitchen matches everywhere around where the area. They wondered at the time if it was to mark where the "body" parts had been blown.
Just was talking on the phone to someone I trust completely who said that kitchen matches can be used to transmit disease.
Anyone have any ideas about this -- never thought to mention kitchen matches that were seen around the area Sunday afternoon.
I am staying home -- have some kids going to Dallas but are going to watch the game in the West End not in the stadium.
Yep, and they are going to be really tee'd off that they sent their lily-white to that great whorehouse in the sky with nearly zero impact.
They will try again.
what did the dad say?
Thanks then it is Channel 4 that is owned by the New York Times. Trying to control news in the Heartland?
How did your friends say that kitchen matches transmit disease? Are they soaked in some sort of agent?
If there was only a 1 in 100,000 chance of being a terror victim at a college football game, that would keep a lot of people away and there's not enough TV to show all the games. I guarantee you that the citizens of this country are not ready to live like the Israelis.
I remember someone talking about the kitchen matches on a thread Sunday. I didn't really understand the significance.
That's what I took from the conversation.
That could have been me although I have heard it elsewhere with people wondering what was up with that. I didn't see any significance until a short time ago and am looking for confirmation.
Haven't seen much new since overnight though reported on here that it is getting mention on some blogs and a couple of local radio shows and one national program (would like someone to report in about Tony Snow's discussion).
If Channel 9 has anything new to report, what time would it likely come out -- the noon news or early evening report?
Irrespective of his motives for the bombing (Islamic jihad member/links, Islamic wannabe, explosive freak or just plain crazy kid), the fact that the university continues to deny that he tried to enter the stadium IMO is where the focus should be on right now. Reporters will get "no comment" on other aspects of the investigation from officals, but the fact that rent-a-cops have identified at least two attempts at entry and maybe a third, should be hammered until the OU admin tells the true story.
I was hoping zeaal could answer that..I only heard parts of it, as my phone rang during his call in..but, the pieces that I did hear, he was rambling on about parents should get to know their kids better, and he didn't realize how angry Joel really was. (Joel apparently talked to his brothers about that, but not dad). Mark Davis asked him about the Islamic connection, i.e. having a Pakistani roommate, and his dad said something to the effect that Joel hardly knew the guy..only that he worked at a "food place" (didn't hear what place), and that he was glad because he would bring home free food. Then Joel told him that the guy must have lost his job because there was no more free food. Next thing I heard was Mark Davis saying how strange Joel's dad was, that if his son (Mark's) had done that, he wouldn't be out giving interviews, etc. A real strange conversation for the parts I did catch. Anyways that's all I can share, maybe someone else heard it better than I. Darn phone! LOL
He went overtime talking to Neil Cavuto and put it off until tomorrow.
If he, in fact, doesn't get to it tomorrow, we'll know for sure that the fix is in.
We have reporters hammering away that have gotten some rent-a-cops to talk and hoping Norman PD goes on the record next since the Feds tried to blame them.
You'd think the death and destruction in OKC (and on 9-11) wouldn't have been forgotten so soon by Americans living there or not.....our fast food society with the short attention span has pulled away from the drive up an is unaware they didn't get the right order per se.....
Wait for it....
re: 1016 comment
Channel 9 is owned by the Griffin family according to Channel 9. I asked them about it a few years ago and that's the reply that was emailed to me. 4 is owned by NYTimes as you mentioned, 5 is owned by Hearst.
