JAYNA DAVIS: Report No. 1 - OU SUICIDE BOMBING CASE

As FReepers are probably aware, Jayna Davis, indefatigable reporter and author of THE THIRD TERRORIST, is on the case of the OU suicide bomber. A local FReeper is giving her assistance. Here are some of the highlights of our discussion a short time ago:

1 - she has spoken to the feed store owner, Justin Ellison . . . Joel Hinrichs III exhibited strange behavior while in the feed store trying to buy ammonium nitrate . . . the store owner asked why he wanted it, and Hinrichs turned away and started mumbling to himself

2 - Hinrichs was dressed in a photographer's vest that was stuffed . . . a wire was noticed sticking out of it

3 - a plain clothes officer was in the store at the time and witnessed what happened . . . Jayna is not clear who got it, but someone got the plate number to track the guy

4 - they did a background check and he came out clean . . . Jayna reminds us that he was a "lily white," just like McVeigh and Nichols

5 - Norman PD could not confirm much for Jayna because this has gone up the food chain . . . they did answer a few questions about procedure, however . . . this would have gone to a special ops task force . . . but what about the Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF)? . . . Norman, Oklahoma has no budget for an officer or a JTTF office! . . . Jayna was stunned . . . the area around OKC is on the front line . . . Norman was the home of the former chief pilot of Osama bin Laden . . . Moussaoui got his flight training there . . . Atta and Alshehhi visited the Airman Flight School in Norman . . .Minepta's mosque is there . . . the VP recruiter for the overseas Al-Fatah network was in Norman

6 - the police in Norman did their job after the report of the feed store incident . . . they knew it was Hinrichs right away after the bombing - they knew it before DNA tests . . . Jayna wonders if their quick action prevented a major casualty count . . . Jayna wonders if they possible had done a "knock and talk" on him before the event to shake him up

7 - a local reporter who verbally attacked Jayna before is at it again . . . the reporter is kissing up and apologizing to the local Muslim community

8 - a security guard at the stadium would not give Jayna info about whether Hinrichs tried to get in with the backpack at halftime . . . apparently, that may be the time when some of the crowd leaves the stadium and comes back with alchohol - so the guards look for that . . . Jayna thinks that, had he planned it better, there was a possibility that he could have gotten in with the crowd at the beginning of the game

9 - officials are denying that there was something else that did not detonate . . . there are differing stories in the news

10 - how is this for quick action and approval? . . . OU is erecting concrete barriers at the stadium to prevent a truck bombing

11 - Jayna says thanks to all the FReepers . . . YOU GUYS ARE GREAT

Yes, someone reported that as the event unfolded. Some freepers were trying to get their family members who attended the game on the phone, and vice-versa.

I'll see what I can do, but I'll tell you that it looks like a Kennedy compound, highwalls and iron fencing. Oh, and also a strange odor!

Wonder if it has a basement or tunnels....

Incorrect. Pakistani students tend to be "jack Muslims." The parties are lavish, with lots of booze. All nighters. Lots of Euro and Paki trance tunes. And yet, even with all those seemingly secular traits, there is an element among them who are very receptive to the more radical elements in the ISI and receptive to OBL's Fatwas. Pakistani society is - in a word - bizarre. By the time I went to my first such event, I was already engaged and in my thirties. But at such events, I could clearly see how a much younger, unattached, disturbed, American kid who felt an outsider from mainstream American society could get a whole lot more into it than going to an occasional party. For example, perhaps spending lots of time within the Pakistani clique. Going along with to the mosque. Come Ramidan, maybe a complete loss of all remaining connection to Western culture. Did this perp go through last year's Ramidan as a devout Muslim? This question must be answered.

My guess is that the Feds want to keep this quiet so as not to hinder their investigation AND to avoid or prevent mass action against mozlims in the U.S...

But, I wonder about the media blackout...Most local stations are now owned by the big guys so I'm curious as to how this Channel 9 in Norman is on top of this when no one else in the country will touch it...

Any thoughts on that???

They found holes in a nearby tree w/metallic deposits in them.
Also, 13 plastic bottles on the seat of the car.

I can tell you unequivocally that he did not try to get in at halftime. By halftime he was already dead and the gates were locked, not alowing spectators out. If he tried to get in, as some reports have indicated, it was before the game, or very early in the game. The explosion was (as I recall) early in the 2d quarter. (I was at the game.)

It seems to have been quite a shock. Supposedly, some of the 9/11 bombers thought that they were simply calming the passengers down while they made a monetary hijack demand.

I have no idea where this information came from or if it is true, but it appeared in some sources after 9/11.

However, I doubt that any bomber worth his salt would believe that now. They either have good reason to think they're going to get away (and most of the Madrid bombers actually did escape, and later blew themselves up in a house during a police assault), or they detonate accidentally.

This event may flush out over a decade of Jihadist in Norman/Oklahoma City.

I keep remembering "Elohim City" being mentioned after the Murrah Bldg was blown up but I can't remember the particulars. Is this where McVey was recruited? Anyone else remember? Think I'll try to locate it on GOOGLE EARTH.

Speaking of GOOGLE EARTH, does anyone know how to get the current imagery? What I'm seeing is old.

If he loaded the vest with nails...then he definitely was looking to kill others.

I think you've nailed it. One report has 16 Penny (3-1/2") nails bored into nearby trees.

No, you give me too much credit. We are all part of the Pajamahadeen and just need to keep our eyes open.

I like to think of myself as the second Pajamahadeen, the first was another FReeper who first noticed it, but whose name I lost.

It was Jim Geraghty, aka Pajama bin Bloggin, then of the KerrySpot on NRO, who coined the term.

We are keeping our eyes open.

Another thing to clear confusion. Many of the muslims I know do drink and party. But they also get quite serious about Ramidan. It is bizarre. It also points out the raft of lies that seems to accompany the whole thing. From what I can see, the typical muslim is sort of bipolar. When they are in party mode, you practically forget they are a muslim. When they go into Mecca mode, a whole other personality steps to the fore. Note how Atta and company went out drinking and to strip joints.

Difficulty getting people to talk on the record here is the understatement of the year! Info is dripping out and now I see Boren is caveating what he is saying. Hopefully people in the know will actually start talking on the record.

Here in Florida the places where people manufacture meth can usually be detected at some distance because of the smell, which is supposedly due to the fertilizer component.

Stand W, is this maybe the odor you smell from the Mosque?

I remember that the majority of the 9/11 hijackers did not know that they weren't returning either.

Yes, there was a report not long afterwards that Osama himself was greatly amused when told about this.

Yes, indeed! It fits! And that explains the bad teeth!

Good point. Also ponder this? Most of these suicide mass killers in the U.S. have used weapons, mainly rifles and pistols and shot up the place. This back pack bomb is no simple suicide. I think my worst fears are starting to be real. Schools, Malls etc. All the soft targets. I never understood why the Islamofacist never took the fight to us directly here. I always felt that they felt the U.S. would throw a tantrum and take care of all our enemies in the Middle East the good old fashion way, total war. I think they sense weakness from the way we have been fighting in Iraq and not dealing with Syria and Iran directly even though it almost plainly clear they are committing acts of war against our troops in Iraq. Gloves need to come off. Enough of this sneaking around crap. We know where the tiger lives. Why do my tax dollars go towards large fleets of carriers and strike aircraft when we don't use them?
