BTW, you can certainly see the stadium in the upper left corner. Mosque (or at least the address someone gave) is there on that corner where the address is listed. Anyone know where the Parkview Apts are on this image?

Speaking of GOOGLE EARTH, does anyone know how to get the current imagery? What I'm seeing is old.

You were expecting real time video down-links?

GE is made up of publicly available earth imaging from a variety of sources. You can get newer images of some ares in special collections of overlays - such as Katrina pictures of the gulf. However these are not always of the best resolution as they have not all been cleaned up and contrast matched. See the Google Earth home page and the Google Earth community for info on this. Further, some of these would not be suitable for permanant inclusion - which is why they are overlays. Water will go down eventually.

You can always throw $20 bucks at them to see if the paid service is better.

I have no idea where this information came from or if it is true, but it appeared in some sources after 9/11.

I can't cite a source, either; I just remember it "being out there."

However, I doubt that any bomber worth his salt would believe that now.

See where the George Street Address is located on the map -- it is right over the Parkview Apartments that front Lindsey Street and they go back from there in kind of half circles with their streets coming off of George Street. The Mosque is at the corner of Lindsey and George.

The stadium has been redone with another deck east side and parking garage that is now on the westside. If you are looking down at the parking garage gate 7 is at the NE corner of the stadium -- that's where we enter the stadium.

I am really concerned to say the least at the seeming coverups that go on with what appears to be Islamic inspired terrorism. I am sure you know all of the cases doug. Might be a lot easier to convince a meth head to blow something up even knowing they would be blown up as well than your regular jihadi.
