Rock Hill - At least two groups are urging local councils and boards in South Carolina to stop using Jesus Christ's name during prayers at public meetings.

But state Attorney General Henry McMaster said Monday he will not tell S.C. governments what to do despite the U.S. Supreme Court's refusal to hear a town's appeal after a lower court told it to stop using Jesus' name.

Wiccan priestess Darla Wynne sued the town of Great Falls and won on the issue but is still fighting to get the town to pay her legal fees...

When are towns going to get some backbone and tell the ACLU to stuff it . I'm sure they can raise enough $$ to fight these a$$holes in court if they wanted to .Its about time for the true Americans in this country to start the revolution and turn the pendulum back toward the right .

If they have, they will grab a power drill and continue digging. There is no "bottom" that these people will refuse to reach.

I think its finally time to break out the tar and feathers. Granted its a bit old fashioned, but I think a good old fashioned public tarring and feathering of some ACLU lawyers and staff will go along way in preserving our Republic.

Why, forcing a person to "broaden" the definition of his faith is as much telling him what to believe as a state establishment of religion would be. Better to just let him pray the way he wants and stop state meddling. (Maybe these lawyers should be forced to publically read the constitution in court. Maybe they would figure it out?)

The ACLU is the black hole of anti-religious zealotry.

As for me and my house, we'll still call upon the name and person of Jesus - The Christ.

And though we're Jewish, my house and I shall support to the death your right to do so. No state religion, and no ACLU telling good, hardworking Americans how to act. PC has gone too far. If they don't like it, they can elect their own city councillors, or suck it up, or move to another place.

Sounds OK to me. I've gotten to the point where I very seldom have any problem with the exercise of "people's justice". What to do about a Christian hating wiccan priestess? Some times I unapologetically long for the good old days in Salem.

"...telling them to stop mentioning Jesus in prayers or lawsuits may follow."

Why is it that elected officials are expected and required to give up their freedom of speech and freedom of religion just because the are elected to public office? I was not aware this was a stipulation of public service.
