Shortly after the PETAphiles were arrested, the headlines here (Norfolk, Va. where the HQ is) were enough that they put out some local ads trying to say it was an abberation. They're still recovering from that PR disaster.

But they do have good intentions. Is that not what really matters?

Genocidal nazi maniacs. How could they murder those that trust and love them?
Oh, I forgot they are liberals trying to make themselves feel good.
Glad they dont care much about orphans.

Yeah, we should look to anti-human PETA thugs and ALF terrorists for moral guidence (especially as they destroy critical labs for children's cancer research):

PETA is just a Communist front organization - a splinter cell of the Green Committees of Correspondence who, in turn, are a splinter of the Red Committees of Correspondence.
Useful idiots.

The PETA whacko's care no more about animals than the Greenpeace whacko's care about clean air and water. The objective of both groups is the same: anti-American,anti-freedom and anti-free enterprise. The left and its myriad alleged 'causes' are just vessels driven by the same vicious, wild-eyed Marxist engine.

I hate PETA because they recently scared Elle out of posing nude in a fur coat.
That is a crime against humanity, IMHO.

To add to the irony...
Guess who's claiming that animal lives are worth more than human lives?
Some FReepers!
The world is again topsy-turvy.

There was a Washington Post article several years ago about PETA having the contract to run a DC animal shelter...that had a VERY high kill rate. People who would go in to adopt an animal would be told to come back the next day or after the weekend....and would arrive to find the animals had been killed. Apparently there is a strong almost cultish faction in PETA that attracts people who consider it better for an animal to be dead than for it to "belong" to somebody. These people are mentally ill and in some cities are being given contracts paid with tax dollars to run animal shelters.

This is not the first report that PETA killed animals it claimed to protect. In 1991, PETA killed 18 rabbits and 14 roosters it had previously "rescued" from a research facility. "We just don't have the money" to care for them, then-PETA Chairman Alex Pacheco told The Washington Times. Hollywood gives these creeps enough money to put the roosters up in a hotel. They're liars. Liar's who glory in the killing of innocent animals.

In 2003, PETA euthanized over 85 percent of the animals it took in," said a press release from the lobby, "finding adoptive homes for just 14 percent. By comparison, the Norfolk (Va.) SPCA found adoptive homes for 73 percent of its animals and Virginia Beach SPCA adopted out 66 percent." That really says it all doesn't it? Sort of like the slut who had an abortion because she couldn't stand the thought of somebody else raising her child.

That's not really a good example. That was a criminal shooting a police dog. A police dog is considered to be a policeman for prosecuting purposes aren't they?
