Actually I have way more respect for her than I had before this. She was the first to warn about the way Bush's nominations were going. I thought she was unhinged about Roberts, but I think this confirms that she was right all along (in her logical principles, not necessarily about Roberts). The bimbo's are the ones that are saying "just trust the President". I like W alot personally, but "just trust me" is not an argument worthy of support.
I recognized AC's talent as a pundit the first time I saw
her on MSNBC during the Clinton scandal. I thought I was correct then and I still think I'm correct and I am a woman.
Nope, not gonna happen. I will continue to respect and admire Ann as long as she speaks for true die hard conservative--which I'm PROUD to be. She's no bimbo to me, but she sure is the babe!

We were sort of kidding about AC as SCJ but her qualifications put this lady to shame in terms of constitutional law and her experience at the Court. So I'm not sure what your point is. You are familiar with her resume, right?
I disagreed with the Lady Ann on Roberts, but I think she is dead on with this. Here is the undeniable truth - there is a great deal of talent out there that was more qualified to sit in this position. Given this, and Meiers' lack of experience, this pick is almost inexplicable - the sole virtue she has is that it's unlikely that she will face many hurdles in being confirmed.
I have read the Lady Ann's work - if you think she's some bimbo, you're sadly mistaken. Just because she refuses to support Bush in everything he does, does not make her worthy of your scorn. I do not support President Bush in everything he does - the expansion of government pork being a leading example - and refuse to prostitute my intellect or my principles to his cause. One wonders if the same can be said about who stick to the mantra, "My president right or wrong". ..which is eerily similar to how the Clinton defenders acted in 1998.

I used to think she was really one to speak her own mind, but now I see her as every other "pundit." Depending upon which side of the isle they're on, they hold up a wet finger to the wind and write what they think their core audience WANTS to hear and will PAY to hear in one form or another. You know...just like a politician? LOL!

I agree with you. I used to like her funny quips but she has become too much in love with herself. The more I see her on TV shows the more I think she doesn't really leave an impression of someone who knows what she's talking about.

Ann amuses me. And she is smart. But she's not the smartest or funniest woman I know. So, I have always just assumed Ann was "a guy thing."
You know, come to think of it...I thought it was just us girls who voted/supported people for the shallowest of reasons. I'm going to have to rethink that!
