Ann Coulter: Miers a 'Complete Mediocrity'
Newsmax ^ | Monday, Oct. 3, 2005

Posted on 10/03/2005 3:07:23 PM PDT by nickcarraway

Count Ann Coulter among the conservatives who are unhappy with President Bush’s nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

Asked by NewsMax.com if she considers Miers to be what she had called John Roberts after his nomination - a "tabula rasa” - Coulter, who’s now out with the paperback edition of her best-seller "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must),” said:

"No. She’s something new: a complete mediocrity.”

Ouch.

Gore thinks abortion is the taking of an innocent human life, but having said that is his loadstar, then says well it is complex as to what should be the public policy about the matter. LOL. Gore smoked too much dope. All things in moderation is my motto.

If I ever post something that inane, tear me apart, our friendship be damned. Just do it. And inquire of my brothers about the possible need I might have for a conservator. Do that too. :)

I'm a lifelong Republican, and was very happy with the Roberts nomination. I don't think I've ever written a negative post about Bush, in fact.

Well there is no good reason to start posting negative things about PRESIDENT Bush (sorry, I just have a thing about people calling him "Bush"...I hope I have never done that). But as I was saying, why start now being negative when less than 24 hours have passed since he nominated Miers? Give it some time, give it some thought, give the President and Ms. Miers a chance. For such a lofty position, anyone nominated deserves at least that much.

I agree with you. All this hysteria is rather ridiculous.

Coulter sounds more and more like Susan Estrich each time I hear her. She comes across as whiney with an ego that grows by the day. I'm rather tired of her bashing the President. I think Coulter and a few other talking heads are just miffed cause the President doesn't listen to their "advice". Someone needs to remind them all that this is the President's choice......not theirs.

jwalsh, I like the turban. The color looks good on you!

Well, fwiw you haven't refuted anything.

Wrong. I have refuted your statement:

Demonstrably false, she donated to a pro life, pro gun Gore in the primary, not Dukakis.

Again, when he was in the primary, he wasn't pro-life. I can give you a 1987 L.A. Times citation where he says he supports Roe v. Wade. That's not pro-life.

Here's an old joke that strikes me as very appropriate today:

Q: How do you say f*#k you in Hollywood?

A: Trust me.

(Yup, the same thing Dick Cheney said on Rush today.)

Your screen name fits you very well. You don't know "diddle e. squat" about Alaska. Blow hard somewhere else.

She will be Rude Bader Ginsburg five years from now if nominated.

confirmed, I meant. She can't possibly be confirmed though unless the rats have so infested the majority, ruling, party.

Perhaps you should take a dose of your own "screen name". LOL Don't get yourself into heart-attack territory over a woman, and a woman's reputation you don't even know yet. Come on....breathe..... :) chena

Just for the record, I played shortstop, wore number 7 and took it deep.

If I only had an arm.

Al Gore called himself a pro-life candidate until the day Bill Clinton offered him the VP slot in 1992.

I hope you aren't a lawyer, or a teacher - as you clearly use unrelated and irrelevant facts to support your argument/thesis.

Do you have any point to make about the actual discussion at hand?

Yeah, but she's also like a sniper who pulls the trigger before assessing and aligning the target. The reactionary response without all of the facts being out is what the rat party loves to see in the GOP. It gives them an excuse to then start pounding the nominee and the rest of the GOP.

Ji Robinson put together a website and a political movement that ha at it very core value, 'It's about the Supreme Court Justices". The movement, this website has been had, and is a spent force. We've been had, it's over, there is no future as we hoped for it to be. It hurts, but that's the truth. The Judicial Tyranny has just begun.

You get my vote for drama queen of the day...no make it, the year.

Arggghhhhh! The sky is falling!!!!!

She is getting on (mid forties), her facial expressions are unpleasant and her "punditry" is often fallacious.

The truth is that a true conservative posture cannot survive the Dims, the media, and the quitters!?

Then maybe they should try and figure out why people are quitting? Hint it is not because things are getting to tough. This Nation became a nation led by quitters at the 38th parallel, ran by political Generals, with career ambition but no devotion to God and Country, and a wimp president that listened to them.
