The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Norman Transcript and several reporters from other papers.
But what a mouth on a guy who just signed up! He says he's been lurking for a couple of years, but if that is the case, he would know that a no0b needs to be a little more soft spoken with people, especially when they have been here since 98.
Sorry for the run on sentence, but methinks the guy is a troll, just trying to piss people off.
That would be one good reason for the quiet. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
Not only that- but Drudge has nothing to add to what we already know. Late AND stale.
Patience would've gotten you killed if you'd been on the 95th floor of the 2nd WTC building and just decided to wait for the email that it was just a construction crew doing some remodeling that went wrong.
Funny.
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- One person was killed in an explosion in a traffic circle about 100 yards from a packed football stadium at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday night in what authorities were calling a suicide.
Are these people that stupid
What do they call a bomb & a suicide??
I noticed the same thing -- this is a controlled release and has some reporters here frustrated.
If you actually read the other posts, you'll learn something new.
I think by copycats Jenny means other potential terrorists. The quiet would give the police a chance to get them before they strike. If they are warned by media, they will run.
They really do think they can keep it quiet. None of the local radio stations reported anything about the blast and the one with the game on never did.
Remember that the British authorities refused to admit the 7/7 attacks were suicide attacks until 5 days later. And they didn't admit that the attackers were muslims until 6 days after the attacks.
Unfortunately, there are seriously unbalanced people out there who WOULD copycat a homicide bomber if they thought it would get them on the evening news in a last blaze of glory. "Top of the world, Ma!"
Here's the link about the gay flag. It seems to be gone but the rainbow stuff and symbols are still online or in the system.

You got a point. ;) In the mean time, I'm gonna go take a nap. Wake me up if we ever get some real facts on this story! I know if we do--it won't be because of anything the msm did!
Whoa, optiguy, going out on a limb! If new facts emerge, Post 2,371 will be celebrated for its prescience.
Robinson said little was known about the victim because the priority was searching the area for other potential hazards.
I appreciate your update. The STORY right now is the who. Who is dead? Whether this is a very atypical suicide or a failed terrorist event hinges on the who. It is interesting that whoever wrote this story is offering a lame defense for not giving any info on the identity because of the hazardous materials defense.
