The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Never heard of the stadium being swept by bomb dogs before and neither has anyone I have talked with today after reading that.
Thanks!
I gave my reasons why MSM covers it up in another post. Would give creedence to the President's war on terror and wanting to fight them there instead of here and Republicans would win in '06. MSM is stuck on stupid and they want to beat Delay and Frisk to a pulp and short of blowing up CNN they aren't going to push an investigation of this any more than they pushed to get to the truth back in 1995 or even 1993.
Astounding. Is it any wonder most people are in a fog when those who should know better are so pathetically duplicitous?
"And there is another story out now here in Norman that disputes the comments of this morning. Throw a dart and take your pick!"
Really? Honestly, Are you sure it isn't the same story as last night from lazy reporters who haven't bother to check on what Boren said this morning? I'll tell you what, when the story specifically becomes a retraction of this morning's statement, let me know.
i.e., they blew up a backpack just in case it had a device in it, and later investigation determined that there were no explosives in it.
But, who can blame people for getting confused when reporters don't do their jobs.
Yes, John Doe #2 was working at Logan Airport on 9/11.
"It was a tiny pipe bomb that caused the stadium to shake which just happens to be concrete."
They're going to have a hard time hiding the hole that a bomb capable of rattling the stadium would make.
Wow! 2280 and counting! Talk about a busy thread! Have any been higher?
unless media inquiries are made now, the story on wednesday can be crafted into the "depressed student commits suicide by pipe bomb".
Can you get that from just sniffing? I thought you could only get it from toilet seats. Learn something new everyday! (snicker)
Watch it.
Your moral and mental superiority complex is shining through.
How many damn times do you have to post your lets just wait and see comments.
Oh, I know, your an Admin Mod wannabe.
When did this ever stop a reporter though? If anything, this seems to be what eggs reporters on.
Strange unless the Feds have some kind of hyper effective way of shutting down the media when they really want to...even CNN.
Maybe in Oklahoma this method is iron-clad because of 92.
Do you feel like a Stepford wife? I'm beginning to feel like living in Oklahoma is like living in Stepford.
Has anyone been able to have a look at the crater left by the bomb yet? Any aerial shots?
I can see that. Where is Jayna Davis living these days? Still in OKC?
I think the numbers were much higher during the Presidential election. But yeah, this is amazing!
I agree you would think reporters would be nosing around, but, how are they supposed to get info on this at the moment?
