The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
I'm reminded that Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi checked out the flight school in Norman, and that Zacarias Moussaoui trained there. Now, of all the flight schools in America, why pick one in Norman, Oklahoma? One answer would be that the hijackers had friends and contacts - a sleeper cell - in Norman.
I think that was where the Nick Berg connection came in - some transactions or messages linked to AQ or 9/11 through the computer account he had at OU. It was later determined that he was not responsible for them. Maybe he just didn't log off? In any case, it was an odd coincidence.
If it was a local yokel would they have called in the FBI so quickly?
If the thing was full of nails then we'll know it wasn't an individual suicide. But if it wasn't we still won't know. One wouldn't attach a "nail bomb" to a bus, I wouldn't think.
Come to Gainesville! Our local UF campus Catholic (dhimmi) parish is celebrating Ramadan this year, with a fast and a special presentation by the Islamic Center, complete with free Korans for all.
Please add me to your list.
Thank you.
We do seem to have a dearth of investigative reporters these days. Either fluff stories or party line stories, but little, if any, true sleuth-type investigative reporters.
hoboken -- did you read The Third Terrorist?
Please add me to your list when you get a chance. Thanks!
It was dark and the buses that sit along the oval have very little light around them -- not enough to notice someone doing anything. I have no idea if the bus drivers stay with their buses or not except they announced several times for bus drivers to come to a place to move their buses which told me they are in watching the game. I have no knowledge of that.
Picture in your mind a street that runs on the west side of Cross that loops around on the east side of Cross -- it is a short walk between the two parts of the street. The east part of the street goes between Cross and the parking garage attached to the stadium. Buses are parked all along that loop on game days. To the west side of the road as it comes in that part of a campus is a large oval with trees, flowers and a fountain. Kids play football there before games when they are early. I have always thought that part of campus when we walk back after night games is not well lit.
What I can't figure out is in the total absence of information about this event, at least that's being put out to the public, how is David Boren so utterly certain that this was a suicide versus an accident? I mean, if somebody blows themselves up, what about that event makes it certain that it was 'suicide' versus 'tragic accident?' Or possibly even an accident in the course of committing a criminal act, but that's another issue.
How many people even know the prime suspect, believed to be involved with Tim McVey and with him in the Ryder Truck when scoping the building, was working at Boston's Logan Airport on 9/11.
I don't believe in coincidence.
What's up with that?
"Nothing to see here, move along"...
"Wat to go, FOX. Still reporting last night's news. Maybe by tomorrow, they'll catch up."
Or maybe there was a second explosive device.

Drudge finally put up a link. Nothing new though.

The MSM chooses to follow the Cindy-path in order to help elect 15 or more dems to the house next year. IF America learns that the Sheehadie's are wrong and we are in great danger then the dem plan fails.
