The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Fox News (Page Hopkins) just reported that the dead person is male and that there was indeed a second bomb found near the body.
I'm all for building a wall, but it's too late to do it now in the hopes of keeping terrorists out. There are a ton of them already here.
That's what we want to know.
That's what we want to know.
LOL. Watching Fox now? Who is that lady reporter on Fox. She's almost hysterical regarding the hostage situation in Phoenix. A swat officer steps into the static picture and she says "he's raising his gun! He getting ready to shoot! Now he's stepping back!" Completely lost her professional demeanor.
Did he leave his email? I will ask my son to get their emails or phone numbers.
Emerson was crucified by the MSM after the OKC bombing, for stating that he thought it was the work of ME terrorists.
You have to cut him some slack for being cautious on this one.
Thanks -- I had not read that post. I called my son for him to get me their information.
True enough. Live coverage of a 'hostage' situation that stemmed from a car that refused to pull over for police.
On the other hand, you have a verified dead suicide bomber outside a football stadium with 84,000 fans and it does not merit any live coverage.
Things that make you go, hmmm...
I have to say, though, that it seems to me if it was a white guy they would have said it already.
The things they OVER-do...and the things they DON'T do..can't figure the media, eh?
Probably couldn't find enough sponges and mops.
I've set off Claymores before. Setting off 2 of them at the same time will cause a 5 ton military truck to jump and bounce 50 yards away. There's not that much plastic explosive in them. Most of the weight is from the two layers of ball bearings.
A person can easily carry enough plastic explosive to make a very impressive blast.
Because a wet-vac would offend the sensibilities....
If the buses exploded as the fans were leaving the stadium, it would create havoc as the buses pass right on the westside of the stadium and a lot of us park on the westside of the campus area. The way these buses are lined up it would have been a disaster as they are very close together with a lot of fans walking.
You mean like they do in other countries? Yeah, that'll work. NOT!
Not being facetious, just wondering how long it would take for a band of jihadees to de-populate an area if domestic law enforcement were our only re-course to prevent it?
Would you be willing to step over body parts on your way to work every day for an undetermined number of years until all the jihadees were caught or dead?
If you've been studying the recruiting program of the jihadees, you would have to wonder if there are more jihadees in reserve (from generation to generation) than domestic law enforcement can handle.
IF that actually be the case, I think we should have a good back-up plan. One that works, unless we want to become accustomed to ambulance sirens wailing all the time.
First I heard of this. First Bali, now this. The world is going to pot.
Well, one is being captured live, and the other requires data collection, review, analysis, and drawing logical conclusions. One is suitable for live TV and the other for detailed discussion on daytime talk radio or internet blogs/forums, if it is mentioned at all.
Pot? Did you say pot? ;)
