The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
I agree. But you aren't going to shut parents up.
--- If I HAD to guess I'd say disgruntled , looser, nutjob student who had it iut for the college and wanted to "show them ".---
That's the ticket!
Ah. A just cherry bomb, then... < /MSM>
Will be glad to add you -- nothing new to report -- my son is headed for campus now and is going to call me!
I hope you don't mind...
If I get anything, it would be my pleasure. I've even got some experience in this sort of thing, as I used to be a photographer for USAF, spent a couple of years at Eglin AFB working with the weapons development people there. My favorite was walking though a tank formation after we dropped a rockeye cluster on it, and photographing the damage. (WWII era tanks, suddenly swiss-cheese)
Seems like imagination deficit syndrome is populating the landscape of this event , doesn't it? Adding another layer of tin foil, with all the Muslims in the OK area, could've this have also been connected to the Bali bombing Jihadists? They like multiple targets.
I love this... I have posted three times, and I have not posted what I think happened, only that I think you have a problem with other people speculating if they disagree with you. People on this forum sometimes have facts, sometimes have speculation that make a difference or put you days ahead of the news media. If you have been here for "years," you will recall that this forum observed and reported the space shuttle breakup well in advance of NASA or the MSM because they were watching. If you want to wait and discuss things after CNN gives you all the facts they care to present, maybe you should just wait. This thread is clearly speculative. I have no problem with that within the bounds of reason. I don't know why you do.
Unfortunately you have to register.
My daughter wanted pizza and my son tried to call up to her at halftime while looking for the pizza and he could not call out. I just talked too him. Knew their text messages wouldn't send until the 4th quarter but I hadn't realized he tried to call her from the concession area.
Under the parking garage are all kinds of food stands and places selling OU merchandise. It is crowded at halftime even on the eastside where we sit. People also leave the stadium at halftime to go get some beer and get passes to get back in the stadium. You can hardly move around down there and lines are long.
But now they're saying it was just a "backpack"...!!
Starwise, so glad you posted this from the Transcript, now that they're busily re-writing the "news."
The question, though, is WHY?
Hmmm...come to think of it (earlier post from someone said phones NEVER work at UT games in Austin), the 7-8 yr old kid behind me at the game called his mom on her cell in the 1st quarter, who had gone to the ladies' room, to "bring me a stinkin hot dog, I'm starvin!"
Soooo, 2 conclusions: The cell phones at the TTU game worked at least in the 1st quarter, and the kid needs an attitude adjustment with a hickory switch.
not being reported
I wonder how long it will be before the name is released?
In the meantime BOL...
THANK YOU! Am awaiting his video
"Some one suggested that the bomb detonated prematurely because someone dialed a wrong phone number."
One would have to wonder if he qualified for the 72 virgins then? It would certainly suck to be this individual, for sure!
Yep. Gotta love FR. Especially for that cheerful thought!
Pipe does come in a wide variety of sizes.
thank you
