the caves they call home have no power so they use prototypes of those new C-note wind-up Laptops. And they get real tired of winding them up to try to answer various and sundry nimrod inquiries from newbies and trolls.
... not to mention the fact that without power in their caves, the beer is warm, which tends to make them rather cranky at times.

You've done it now! The moment I saw your thread's headline I knew what would follow, and so did every other veteran Freeper--that's why they've all jumped in: a naive question if ever there was one.
Several are predicting 1,000 posts on this thread, but really it could go 5-10,000 or more. If so, you'll be a celebrity! If it hits 20-30,000 you'll be a legend, though not for having done anything important and like Buckhead and tankerkc, but just for being you.
