MYSTERY GIRL OF QUEENS
The New York Post ^ | 9/30/05 | PHILIP MESSING and BRIAN HAMACHER

Posted on 09/30/2005 7:15:27 AM PDT by FeliciaCat

Valerie, in fresh clothes and clutching a new teddy bear yesterday, was found in Middle Village early Sunday. A 4-year-old girl was found wandering a Queens street in the middle of the night — and city authorities are trying to figure out who she is and why she was all alone. The girl — who has told police that her name is Valerie — was found on 76th Street in Middle Village Sunday at around 1 a.m., according to the city's Administration for Children's Services.

She is extremely bright and understands that she is lost. But she was only able to give very sketchy details about how she ended up on the street.

The girl said her mother's name is Monica, her father's name is Caesar and she has a cat named Gary.

She also mentioned another father named Felipe.

"I got lost when I was sleeping," she said. "He [her father] took me in the car and took me outside with no shoes. So I was crying. And some people found me and they gave me a sweater and everything."

People who live on 76th Street said they heard noise in the street and stumbled on the child when they went outside.

Middle Village is a fairly nice neighborhood in Queens. Strange that nobody has reported her missing.

"I got lost when I was sleeping," she said. "He [her father] took me in the car and took me outside with no shoes..."

She "got lost while she was sleeping." In other words, she was abandoned. Poor little kid.

Prayers for this little girl. Glad to see someone found her before she was hurt. Wonder what is going on with the family though?

That was my thought as well....the local news is showing pictures of this little girl non-stop and as of yet no one has come forward...I'm thinking the mother has been hurt and Father is freaked out and dumped her? But why have no neighbors come forward? Very weird.

She's from Vermont.

Freepers,

I think we need a volunteer to adopt this little girl. I have a feeling she should not be returned to the sperm and egg donors who are her "parents".

"Wonder what is going on with the family?"

CHAOS!

Thank goodness she is O.K. and out of physical harm's way.

The mom is missing and the cops are looking for the natural father.

I wonder if the mother and other "father" are dead? Perhaps killed by the "father" who took her from her home and abandoned her?

All things considered, it could be worse. They might have killed her or sold her.

Thank God she's safe. When they find the parents, the authorities ought to get experts in there to find out WTF is wrong with them.

WABC By Stacey Sager

(New York -WABC, Sept. 30, 2005) - She loves chocolate but told an interviewer she doesn't like pickles. She refers to her mother as Monica and a man she was last seen with as Caesar.

Police reportedly are talking to a man named Caesar but they don't know if he is Valerie's father. He does appear to know the little girl.

It has now been five days since the little girl has been found crying.

Valerie says her dad took her out of bed late one night, took her somewhere and left.

Valerie, Four-Years-Old: "I like chocolate."

She also like pizza and corn. She says her mother name is Monica, she has two daddies and she goes to daycare.

But no one know why this four-years-old - who gives her name as Valerie - was found wandering the streets of Queens alone.

Valerie was in the Ridgewood neighborhood of Queens when she was found in the early morning hours last Sunday. She was alone. Georgina Vasaki says she heard cries.

Georgina Vasaki, Found Valerie: "I heard crying like a quarter to one in the morning, so I looked outside my window and saw a little girl across the street. She was in her pajamas and she was barefoot."

Valerie, Four-Years-Old: "I was crying and some people find me and they give me a sweater and everything."

Valeries says she has two daddies, Felipe and Caesar. A woman says she saw Eyewitness News' reports yesterday and recognized the girl immediately.

Melissa: "I know this little girl, I used to see her sometimes when I used to do my laundry. Her father is very loving and always, you know the way he would treat her, was like he would live and die for this child."

Melissa called 9-1-1 then called crimestoppers.

Last night detectives checked the neighborhood, going to the places where Melissa says she saw the little girl frequentally.

The child say she's four-years-old she's about 37 inches tall with fair skin and brown eyes and brown shoulder length hair.

When she was found Sunday in Ridgewood, she was wearing a matching white t-shirt and shorts and a red sweater.

The super of the building where the family is believed to have once lived did not recognize Valerie's picture.

Police confirm that they have been interviewing someone all morning long at the 104th precinct. Sources say it is a man named Caesar but they're not sure if he's Valerie's father. They say no one is under arrest and that there is still no sign of the girl's mother. The girl remains safe in foster care.

If you have any information about Valerie or her parents, call Crimestoppers at 800-577-TIPS.

The boyfriend went to the police station to identify the girl. The natural father left the girl on the street barefoot, late at night. He told her to look for a house with a black door and she would find her mother there. My guess is the natural father killed the mother.

Why would he do that if he loved his daughter?? Could be he knew he was gonna be wacked for something after his wife was already killed, figured the street would be the best place if he couldn't go to cops, strange story none the less.

This little girl says that she "goes to daycare". I'm surprised that the people at this daycare have not noticed her missing, or haven't at least seen her picture now in the news. My heart just aches for this little girl. So many sad stories these days.
