Middle Village is a fairly nice neighborhood in Queens. Strange that nobody has reported her missing.

Prayers for this little girl. Glad to see someone found her before she was hurt. Wonder what is going on with the family though?

The girl said her mother's name is Monica, her father's name is Caesar and she has a cat named Gary. She also mentioned another father named Felipe.

She's from Vermont.

Freepers,

I think we need a volunteer to adopt this little girl. I have a feeling she should not be returned to the sperm and egg donors who are her "parents".

All things considered, it could be worse. They might have killed her or sold her.

Thank God she's safe. When they find the parents, the authorities ought to get experts in there to find out WTF is wrong with them.

"I got lost when I was sleeping."

Reminded me of this, from Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49":

In Golden Gate Park she came on a circle of children in their nightclothes, who told her they were dreaming the gathering. But that the dream was really no different from being awake, because in the mornings when they got up they felt tired, as if they'd been up most of the night. When their mothers thought they were out playing they were really curled in cupboards of neighbors' houses, in platforms up in trees, in secretly-hollowed nests inside hedges, sleeping, making up for these hours. The night was empty of all terror for them, they had inside their circle an imaginary fire, and needed nothing but their own unpenetrated sense of community.
