I agree. I think DeLay had a hand in who to name. We are always thinking towards the next election and DeLay is smart enough to know how to do this during this diversion.

Ah, yes, Pat. The man who singlehandedly tried to take down the Republican Party through isolationist policies questionably rooted in a seeming hostility to other races and ethnicities.

Pat is Dead politically, and has been for years.

Nobody gives a damn what Pat Buchanan ever says anymore. He is mad at the GOP because they did not want him in the White House, and he is such a nutball reactionary he makes John Bircher's look left wing. He did one good thing in the last few years, he destroyed that worthless Party that Ross Perot started.

Not by my book at any rate and I'm solidly declaring myself in Delay's corner.

Amen, and the only people who should decide whether DeLay stays or goes are the voters in his district.

Plenty of trolls and disruptors in the threads, as well as 3rd party agenda oriented members that don't care about the means if they can advance their cause. hand in hand with Earle and the Libs. yet they claim to be protectors of conservatisism?

See Post #826 for Earle's selectivity in his investigation.

"Plenty of people will continue to vote for Delay in his district."

Correct. I am one of them.

The fact that DeLay has long been the Democraps' least-favorite Republican has always been a big plus in my book.

this may account for the relative toothlessness of late on the part of the leftist scumsuckers; to wit, look how Roberts sailed through -- without being "thomased."

Prove your accusations against Delay troll. Still waiting. How about also telling us who Earle managed to convict from your list? Hmmmm? Also please explain why Earle dropped all charges against the Corporation he is accusing of helping Delay in exchange for 6 figure campaign contributions to his pet PACS?

You are mistaking me for someone woith a political axe to grind in this debate. Someone asked for a list of Democrats Earle had gone after, so I provided them with a list.

Well let me some up all your posts for you.

You hate Delay because he is an effective Republican Leader. Because of that any accusation against him is immediately accepted unquestioned as truth because it conforms to your political prejudices. When challenged about your bias rather then rationally defend your position, you choose to lash out at anyone who presents an alternative viewpoint. Since you have failed to offer any proof to back up your accusations and instead have just continued to make accusations, you lose the debate.

The stock didn't tank badly, it simply dropped by a significant amount. We don't know yet exactly when he sold, and so we don't know whether it was sold before the main drop.

He sold the stock because recently partisan political hacks have been hassling him more and more about owning this stock while dealing with health care issues. He finally had enough and asked them to dump it.

He is a pretty wealthy individual, and seems to be an honorable man, with a REAL job outside of politics as a doctor.

It seems to strain believability that he would have purposely and publicly sold his stock based on insider trading.

The same thing happened to Cheney, by the way. He had holdings in companies, and the partisans screamed he should divest, and he divested, and the stocks tanked, and the partisans asked if he knew something.

Outcome of course is no interest to the democrat political operatives. They screamed about Bush's "insider trading" where he sold stock supposedly because he knew the company had messed up. Even though within the year the stock value was above where he sold it.

I would be scared if I was a highly public individual who owned stock and had to sell. It will be a public act, and people will know about it, and it might cause a lot of other people to sell the same stock, causing the stock to drop -- and then it looks like you sold out in front of the wave because you knew something.
