Has this FBI report been confirmed? Is Tony Snow the only one who has mentioned it? This is almost too bad to be true. If NO had 400 non-existent cops on the books, it is a HUGE story, and would totally change the dynamics of the katrina foul-up story. That's 400 cops who could have/should have been maintaining order and helping in the rescue effort.

Folks, back when things started falling apart with Katrina's response, I always said two things--one, follow the money; and two, if they're trying to make you look somewhere else, look where they don't want you to look. Yall might remember La history. It took years to get The Silver Zipper, our gov. And Carlos Marcello, our powerful Mafia Don was repeatedly let off when prosecuted here.
We have two prior INsurance commisioners go to jail{one of them Campbell Brown's dad}. Corruption in government is a way of life here. I wouldn't hold my breath that they can get a jury to convict these guys. Even Texas had to put Carlos Marcello away.

I think alot of the corruption is mob influenced with the political class taking the leavings.
