There were two police suicides. One guy was a spokesman for the NO police department. Rush read an email he got from a friend in NO which recounted the wife and children murdered story. Many Freepers debunked that email because of the wife being at the funeral.

That still leaves one other dead police man

What a shame. NEWS can no longer be trusted.

WAKE UP! The New York/Washington media axis have always lied! This is nothing new. The difference now is that the people who know they are lying on any individual story, and can prove it, have the ability to "broadcast" that proof to a wide audience (aka mass media) via the internet. (Seee Rather/Mapes and fabricated memos.)

The old media does not like "peer review".

How does this have anything to do with Bush?

The FBI works for the president.

For all those who have had so little faith in our President.

Damn it and now they want federal funding.

I don't begrudge anyone a helping hand but someone better be held accountable to all this graft.

No no no. It's, "That picture is seared, seared in my memory."

"Compass had come under some criticism in the press lately on charges that he had exaggerated the amount of death and crime at the Superdome and the Convention Center in the aftermath of Katrina."

Maybe he's a crook but he's not responsible for the lies. Those lies came from rumors from people within the Dome who thought they were true, and messaged them out. The media followed.

Check every thread here at FR at the time. It wasn't "Compass said..." but reports from within the Dome.

This morning Soledummie OBrien suggested that inferior workmanship was deliberately done on the levees in the poor neighborhoods.

Compass also had two of his officers commit suicide in the storm’s aftermath.

Suicide. Yeah. Wow is this ever gonna unravel bigtime.

I wouldn't be surprised if each of the missing cops also made campaign contributions.

Who is the head of LA FEMA?

Major General Bennett C. Landreneau.

There is a NOLA officer too. I forget his name, it'll come to me as soon I press "Post." ;-)

"How does this have anything to do with Bush?
The FBI works for the president."

Yeah, but some here are playing it up like this revelation is some kind of grand political strategy.

It's simple. FBI investigated, found fraud. It's Bushbotic to attribute this find as a strategy from Bush, not unlike those on the left that attribute every failure on their part by a trick from Karl Rove.

NO and Lousiana as a whole is the home of corruption, has been for years, no secret, people laughed about it and thought it was "charming".

Then the SHTF, and now all that is coming back to haunt them. There is no voting block left, there is no place to hide and the whole damn lot of them should be in jail and I mean up to Blanco, Landreiu (all of them), the Levee Boards, the School Boards, the mayor, the Police Chief and name-your-elected-officials.

However, knowing LA as I do, Blanco and Nagin will weasel out of being prosecuted.

Get the popcorn.
