Well I see you're already banned or suspended, so I won't waste additional font on you.

After all, there IS a war on, and pixel rationing IS in force.

Howlin, I want to repost your earlier comments for fresh eyes. I've heard similar things from non-political types:

I'm reposting this from a thread earlier this morning:

My post:

I was over at The Soccer Dome for a big party last night and I can tell you that to a person -- even the ones who I personally know are flaming liberals and voted for Kerry (a couple in MY family) -- all the people there believe this is an absolute travesty and that Bush -- yes, Bush -- is being blamed for something that was beyond his control.

People are seeing this for what it is -- pandering and whining -- and some of them believe that people want a class and race war. I was kind of surprised; I mean, we here all feel like this is a witch hunt, but people in real life feel the same way. They were actually laughing at the "instant gratification" crowd and a lot of them were infuriated that years and years of successful hurricanes and disaster responses seem to have been completely ignored for these people's agendas.

There is going to be SUCH a backlash; and at the head of the list is the press.

I left smiling.

Thank you. Apparently MSM, including Fox, hasn't gotten wind of that yet. It'll be interesting to watch this info filter down to them.

People died due to an inept response. Folks did NOT have thier ducks, all in a row. Mr. brown does NOT hold all the cards, there were several players here.

No offense...but you're an idiot!

FEMA is working on super-secret stupid-seeking missiles to deliver supplies to those who don't prepare adequately for hurricanes.

LOL. I'd give the inventor a Nobel Prize.

I heard about two weeks ago in a report Mark Fuhrman gave Geraldo that 150 of the officers who deserted took NOPD vehicles and were found in neighboring states (Texas and Georgia for certain) still driving the vehicles.

Good gad. And we're shoveling money at these people WHY?!?

Well .. it wasn't Brit doing the reporting .. it was just his show

Brian Wilson was doing the reporting about the hearing today and how the Congressman's reacted along with Brown's response

How other states were able to get along and to tell FEMA what they needed

LA couldn't do that

Brit showed Brown being questioned by Shays and Taylor. What he showed that others have not is Brown's response.

He showed Brown saying "what did you expect? Did you want me to swoope down like Superman and evacuate the city?" That was in answer to Shays questioning about him coordinating.

I did not hear what the reporter said at the end of the segment.

Thanks for Gibson's email address. Just unloaded on him.

One by one, Fox commentators will go over to the dark side, wait and see. They must want to impress the Saudi prince that just bought out 5 per cent of Murdoch's corporation.

Why is Taylor the only person in Mississippi bitching about goods not getting to them? Wasn't he the idiot this morning griping that Fema should have had gas for the folks to put in their cars so they could evacuate? What a flaming idiot. Well heck, I want a Fema to give me a new car too, Senator. Work that up for me and then blame Bush cause I can't have it.

It AMAZES me that US Senators don't know the role of Fema.

Would that be Gene Taylor? If so, he's just a congressman, not a senator.

"The Fox reporter just mentioned that what the folks in Beaumont need is air-conditioning! How did America's pioneers ever make it?"

I don't even know if people are still posting to this thread. Members of my family who live in Beaumont were smart enough to evacuate. I heard that PORTIONS of the area were out of power.

Hubby's family members evacuated to his brother's house, which was almost out of the path of Rita. They wound up leaving - along with a few elderly neighbors - for our nephew's house, which is more prone to flooding, because my BIL's power was out and his generator couldn't handle power for all those people plus air conditioning. While our nephew DID get hit, his power stayed on. They all gathered in campers and traveled there and hook up to his electric and have a bit of a vacation. Texas ingenuity+independent spirit=problem solved.
