Book Claims Sex Abuse Not Harmful
by Steve Jordahl
Once again an attempt is made to promote the shocking theory that pedophilia is good.
An old heresy is surfacing again. Sexual contact between adults and children is normal, even beneficial to children and can serve as a useful tool in the mentoring process. In a new book about the role of homosexuality in ancient Greece and Rome, Temple University Professor Bruce Rind claims sex between adults and children can be beneficial. Therapist Joe Nicolosi has seen the "benefits" in dozens of victims.
"It lowers self-esteem, it lowers trust, it creates profound self-doubts about oneself, it creates future difficulties in terms of intimacy and trust."
The assertion that homosexuality and child sexual abuse were accepted norms of ancient cultures has no basis in fact.
"Absolutely not. That is a mythology promoted by gay activists to justify and to find legitimacy in their perversion."
But the fact that the view is published at all troubles Dr. Warren Throckmorton of Pennsylvania's Grove City College.
"With the publication of this book I am concerned that the effort here is to make this view mainstream."
Nicolosi claims homosexuality is at the root of most abuse of young boys, the focus of a great deal of the book, and points to the sex scandal in the Catholic Church as an example. Rind was published by the American Psychological Association several years ago, but public outcry was so severe the APA repudiated the paper. He did not return repeated calls for comment.
Keep on makin' this TU alum proud, Rind and President Adamany, ya couple of perverts.

This is gonna make your day, ping.
Owl_Eagle(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
if pedophilia is so good, then why are all them priesyts in so much trouble?
I had a very good female friend in H.S. who, during our Senior year, told me that her dad had been having sex with her for years.
Let me just say that based on that single example it will be VERY difficult to convince me sex abuse in not harmful. Even at the 20 year reunion, she was haunted by it.
And the gay agenda proudly moves forward.
I said that in 20 years the left will be claiming sticking up for "transgenerational relationships" much like they are for the filth that is gay marraige today.
"It lowers self-esteem, it lowers trust, it creates profound self-doubts about oneself, it creates future difficulties in terms of intimacy and trust."
Substitute "destroys" for "lowers" and he's hit it right on the head.
You NEVER "get over it" and it taints everything you do, think, feel or believe for the rest of your life.
Another poster used the word "haunts".
Very apt.
You become one of the walking wounded and you wind up haunting yourself.
ALL child molestors kill their victims.
It's just that some of the victims are "lucky" enough to keep on breathing after it's over.
Ditto on your post.....
If someone cuts off a kids arms, they're a monster.
But if they steal their innocence and childhood, no biggie.
You NEVER get over it, NEVER.
It's just that some of the victims are "lucky" enough to keep on breathing after it's over.
Well said.
I don't see any 'benefits' to what happened to them.
I personally have a theory,
that if all child abuse stopped tomorrow.
ALL of it...
In about 15 years, the porn industry would have a very hard time finding actors.
I'm not saying they couldn't find any, just that the numbers of easy marks would drop considerably.
My sister also had a friend who was sexually abused by her father(he abused all 3 of his daughters). And yes, these girls have paid the price all their lives. I remember smiling when I heard he died a long, painful death.
I can understand your reaction.
Amen.
"Well said."
