Typical demagogic extremist spin.
"Not harmful"
is not the same as "good"
Misinterpret a statement then attack the misinterpretation! The tool of the lazy, the ignorant or the incompetent.

The reason that I'm so vehemently against pedophilia and think that pedophile's should be executed is because I've been through it. My molestation could have been worse and fortunately because I got myself out of the situation (I was working part time in a gift shop) happened only a few times. But the guy had a history of this and shortly after I quit tried to rape a friend of mine. Our parents didn't prosecute because they didn't want to put us through the trauma of a trial so the creep got off scott free.

Actually, you would be summarily correct since some 71 percent of all sex workers were sexually abused at some point in their lives.

if pedophilia is so good, then why are all them priesyts in so much trouble?
Clever, isn't it? The very behavior that the ACLU types have been seeking to protect (
ACLU defends child-molester group ) is the one that they inflated and condemned in the Catholic Church.

I think openess about sex would see a reduction in sex crimes as it is human nature to desire what is taboo. Many of you need to look into your own minds and realize what trips your sexual libido and decide if someone knew about that , how you would be looked at in american society.
Are you suggesting that if one has a sexual desire for children, it is unfair for the rest of us to think that is evil?
What if our desire is towards animals? Should that be "more open"?
To: Mr. C
Exactly!
I watched the Jenna Jamison interview,
and I got this sick, creepy feeling hearing her talk.
But was when they talked to her brother and her father
that I got ill.
It was subtle, but there was no mistaking that she was viewed as a sexual being LONG before she reached adulthood.

from your profile, which is very telling:
I consider personal choice and privacy a top priority.
What should we be more open about?

You're always on a thread when I need you.

I'm not saying they couldn't find any, just that the numbers of easy marks would drop considerably.I bet Adam Smith would have something to say about that...

My parents didn't want to break up the aunt's marriage.
How insane is that?
Would you rather be divorced or married for 40 years to a serial child molestor?
4 years later, another aunt got pulled into the Family Conspiracy of Silence when her daughter turned 10 and drew his evil attentions.
[that must've been the "magic number" for him or something]
He's still walking free and is known as a "pillar of the communtiy"/"devout Christian".
*Everybody* just loves this charming fella.
Talk about alternate realities....:-\

It was subtle, but there was no mistaking that she was viewed as a sexual being LONG before she reached adulthood.I wasn't going to comment further on this thread because it's always a no-win proposition, but this statement reminded me of something I have always viewed as bizarre, but is never mentioned.
"Viewed as a sexual object long before..." etc.
instantly reminded me of the popularity of "cheerleaders", even at the lower school level. And we know what happens there as the age progresses. Most people think nothing of it and most families encourage it as a special achievment. I was totally relieved when my academically superior daughter never expressed the slightest interest.

I suspect the ultimate goal is to remove all societal/moral boundaries.
When nothing is taboo, everything is permitted and society finalizes its slide into total chaos.
A 'conquer from within' tactic, if you will.
Evil is the origin.
Just pure, elemental evil.

I've mentioned it before,
but I strongly believe that sex is for adults, and there
need to be clear boundaries between child and adult
behaviors and endevours.
Yet some people blur the lines. Sometimes it's overt
and can be called abuse. But sometimes its covert and
subtle like what you mentioned.
(Like don't get me started on Little Miss Pageants!!!!)
