The show with Elvis was December 17th, 1977. He was asked NOT to play 'Radio, Radio' because of it's lyrics. He agreed, but changed his mind on the stage, and guided the Attractions into a raucus version of the song.

SNL has sucked for the last 20 years. SCTV ate their lunch anyway. That show was hilarious, and I don't remember it ever going political. Bring back Count Floyd!

SCTV was something else. One of my favorite bits was Andrea Martin's Connie Franklin, the world's most depressing and Johnny LaRue's favorite singer. A take off of Connie Francis who's personal tragedies became one of the most overexposed stories of the 1970s.

I rarely watch Saturday Night Live. It went to hell 20 years ago. Besides being leftist jellyfish, the show isn't funny anymore : (

One of my most memorable moments was when John Belushi was the musical guest, and he sang the song With A Little Help From My Friends and during the climax of the song, he was flopping around on the stage like a fish out of water pouring beer all over himself.Hahahahaa! I remember that! We used to joke, "is it live, or is it Memorex?" he had Joe Cocker down pat : )
Those were the golden years of SNL. Remember the skit of "the guest that wouldn't leave?" Jane Curtain, I forget who the man was, but John Belushi was the guest.

I saw James Brady, quarterback for the New England Patriots on a show last season.
It was embarrassing to watch, and I like the guy.

Hahahahaa! I remember that! We used to joke, "is it live, or is it Memorex?" he had Joe Cocker down pat : )Absolutely! He had the facial expressions, the body movements behind the microphone down pat. The "flopping on stage like a fish out of water" of course was an overexaggeration on his part. It was absolute John Belushi. :)

So many great characters on that show...Johnny LaRue, Bill Needle, Lola Heatherton, Count Floyd with Bruno, Dr. Tongue. I love that show!

Steve Carell is funny. If you can see "The Office" on NBC, its very funny. But the British version is better.
Does anyone know if this skit or episode from SNL is available anywhere on DVD?:
I am looking for the episode that had Rick Moranis as Jim Baker, with Leona Helmsly, and Tammy Fay Baker digging out of jail. I almost pp'd my pants when I saw Moranis getiing into a fetal position and Tammy's makup running as she cried.

If people think that Kayne West's words will turn back race relations, then I think some don't believe in this country too much. Also, I've never seen conservatives suck up all the MSM's garbage like this before. Since when did conservatives actually take what hollyweird says seriously?

Maher, 48... Really? I would have sworn the guy is well into his sixties. That liberal lifestyle is a killer. ;)
