The D.C. Chapter, Jimrob, trueblackman and other freepers have done us proud today, on an international scale. We recognise the effort and inspiration that it took to produce such an event. This is a forum for thanks and well deserved Kudos.
This was a great experience. I don't even have words.
In the face of so much loss (gold star parents) and commitment (gold star parents and troops) there are just no words...although I still wonder what the Iraqis were saying..(?)
I got to watch almost the whole program - and it was great! I was so proud of everybody.
God bless our military and especially their families who have sacrificed so much for America.
That's the most CSPAN I've watched in a long while.
I missed C-Span by 5 minutes. What did they say?
Folks, on the ride down my car broke down. I had just crossed the Delaware bride when my radiator blew. I just made it back it the Jersey shore after limping and going through about 10 gallons of water. My wife had told me via phone what a respectful croud we had, unlike the trash that was there yesterday.
I briefly switched to the Jags/Jets game to see them tied in overtime before switching back. The Freepers were that good!
It's being rebroadcast at 2 AM. Tape the 4 1/2 hours and you'll be glad you did. I missed the first 90 minutes; the last 3 hours was awesome; felt like a half hour.
Fantastic job, FReepers..... As usual!
They said that American blood was once again spilled in the cause of freedom and that the sacrifice of their sons and daughters was worth it.
They would not be shouted down by the American hating left.
SoCalPol and I joined with the San Diego Protest Warriors and the SD Move America Forward yesterday to counter Code Pink down here in San Diego.
Code Pink people are very confrontational! SoCal hit them with facts and they had to go back to their corner!
I am so sorry that you missed it. It was great. Catch the re-run at 2am and tivo/tape it. Our guys did an excellent job of presenting the voice of the silent majority...the voice of Americans that are not professional speakers, that are a little awkward in front of a microphone...of people who have hours in their hearts but only minutes to speak.
There was a point where it was a little overwhelming, where I had to turn away or lose it completely. You can only hear so many stories before it breaks your heart, and there was no slick professional stage mangement where someone went to a song, or brought out a glib speaker. You just heard the simple story of parents / wives/brothers who lived with soldiers who loved the ideals of American freedom enough to lay down their lives to defend us and bring that freedom to the Iraqi people.
That's why I wonder so much what the Iraqi said. I was here on Freerepublic the day of the Iraqi election...when the response of the Iraqi people would spell success or failure for the Bush administration...when the MSM who had been trying to spin it into defeat were unable to deny the reality of the bravery of the Iraqi people who risked death, who risked beng identified by the terrorists by going to the polls.
There were a few American politicians who stood up with the families. God bless them forever. Jeff Sessions, Al. Sen. Logan IA and Franks AZ (not to be confused with franks ma).
Nice job you guys! *applause*
"U-Turn Joe" in Sacramento
I watched the whole rally on C-SPAN, from the fashionably liberal community of Ann Arbor MI. Wish I could have been there in person. It would be nice if somebody would translate the Iraqi man's speech and post the translation for everyone.
I loved the remarks by Kevin Martin, the Navy vet. He was terrific!
It will re-air on C-SPAN at c. 2 a.m.

Outstanding! DC Chapter.
Kristinn probably has more hours in front of the White
House than anyone!
Well Done!
I would love the song played at the very end, on mp3. It went "BUSH IS RIGHT". What a great song. Wish I could have attended.
"Kristinn probably has more hours in front of the White House than anyone!"
"Well Done!"
Ditto! Way to go FReepers!
