I only see two differences. The Republicans still are pro War on Terror while the Democrats are appeasers. The Republicans cut taxes, and spend like drunk Sailors. The Democrats increase your taxes, and spend like drunk Sailors.
Ummm ...while some spending ie "no child left behind" was political in aim most of the spending im seeing in this admin is coincedence.

Well, he's not officially a Dem. He really spends a lot like LBJ, though. I also have my doubts about the pro-life part.
I actually know a few pro-life Dems. One is my State Senator here in Soviet Blagoyestan (Illinois). He's pro-2nd amendment, too. It's cost him a lot politically with the ruling politboro in Daly City (Chicago). He'll likely not be advanced to anything beyond state-level, of course. That takes some real courage - a lot more than mouthing some pro-life slogans while sitting back and doing nothing like most Republcians do.
I appreciate his standing on principle - at personal cost to his career. The Repubs in this state are a complete farce. Our former (Repub) Gov. is now on trial for corruption. I hope he's sent to a nice prison where he can become the "woman" for some 750-lb. inmate. He deserves worse.
Bush has made some decent lower-court appointements to be sure, but the whole business of supporting Specter for JC Chairman stinks. Like Ann Coulter, I have grave doubts about the very slick John Roberts. I do hope I am wrong, but the similarities to Souter are remarkable.
If you mean Blancos in charge of the State of Louisiana's Homeland Security? Yes, I do believe they answer to her.
If you mean in charge of the whole dirty deal? No, I believe she was a dancing puppet and someone higher up in the Rat party held her strings.
After Rathergate's forged documents and watching that little dirty deal play out (Including the MSM seemingly acting as their helpmates) I wouldn't put anything past the Rats.
Especially when it comes to them covering their butts.

As much as I am seriously dissapointed with out dear leader in DC, he's actually near the bottom of the "to blame" list for the Katrina disaster. Here's the official Bogo-the-political-asassin blame list:
1. Ray Nagin, the moronic mayor - a slightly yuppified pimp who would be better suited to shuttlin' 'ho's' around in his fine Cadillac.
2. Kathleen Blanco, the blithering, blubbering excuse of a Governess for Louisiana - Home of Huey Long
3. Bush's political hack, "Brownie", who did a "heck of a job" being an incompetent fool as head of FEMA.
4. Chertoff, the clueless DHS head in charge of "Brownie."
5. Our Dear Leader himself.
Now, going on about the looters and thugs who shoot at rescuers being the result of poverty which in turn was a legacy of slavery is quite LBJ-like as was the promise of untold billions in taxapyer largesse, but what would one expect from a "compassionate conservative" whose response to the permanent establishment of racial preferences was to parrot a Marxist slogan - "Diveristy is our Strength"?
I really have no fondness for leftists, irrespective of whether they are Republicans or Democrats. Some of us here aren't partaking of that 'delicious grape-flavored drink' being offered by those intrepid Republican leaders any more.
I think everyone here should take a chill pill.
This is bigger than both Clinton and Bush. This is about OUR civil liberties and how the government keeps track of all of us.
We complain how the government wants to keep tabs on us. Democrat or Republican, it doesn't matter. When ID cards were mentioned, we went ballistic. When anything that could truly hurt us comes before us, we rise up and say NO.
Now imagine this. At any given time, any person in this country could be tracked. They know if you have a gun, they know where you shop, what you buy, who you talk to on the phone, who your friends and acquaintences are, who you are dating, her or maybe his family and relations. Think about it a minute.
Now think about what Able Danger is. Think about how they found Atta. Now go one step further. Think about who they cannot find because those people are here without records.
Able Danger is going to expose credit card companies, financial institutions, service organizations, police departments, who knows? Because all of their information probably filtered through something like Able Danger.
This is one thing our government doesn't want us to know about. Question is, do we really want to know?"

Basically Clinton was involved in Iran/Contra on a minor level, but knows the whos and whats of it, including how GHWB allowed drugs to be smuggled into the US by the same guy who was running guns TO the contras.

We had a politicitian that accepted campaign contributions from a Middle Eastern man that was arrested for weapons and drug charges by the FBI. The weapons charge was for bringing in 200 Stinger missiles to the USA.
So maybe other politicians have campaign contributions they would rather not have the 'who's who' known about?

We did see an article about a LA Congressman going back to his home to remove 'personal belongings'.
That may have been legit. People with resources will utilize them. But I can't help but wonder if he and others were busy removing items they didn't want to be seen by letting Feds in. That is my thoughts on the delays.

Ignoring the fact that your post sounds like something I might read on DU, the fact is that We the People won't let that happen. We all thought Clinton might pull the same $h!t, and we were ready for it.
