Don't worry, 'Face. I don't make much sense to myself sometimes, either. Good night.

Dandelion wine. Dusty bottles of summer nostalgia.

You must have missed a classic moment.
The aliens had taken over the Enterprise, after having assumed human form. Kirk reasoned that they were not used to human sensations, and proposed that they attempt to overwhelm the powerful aliens through their human frailties.
Scott was pouring a powerful alcoholic beverage. When asked what it was, he responded, "It's .. it's Green!"
On the next generation, Data repeated this line, to Scott, in the Dyson Sphere episode.

There was a poem about "dandelion wine". I think Bradbury included it in his books by the same name or maybe I am confusing the two.
At the end the man is standing in his wine cellar holding a bottle and dreaming about times past.
Does any of this ring a poetic bell or am I misremembering?

Yes it does.
Used to be very popular in rural America once upon a time.
