ARTICLE...."Most damaging to Weldon's claims, the paper said, was the denial it obtained from National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley on Friday - whose spokesman challenged Weldon's assertion that he had given Hadley a copy of the Atta chart two weeks after the 9/11 attacks.

"Mr. Hadley does not recall any chart bearing the name or photo of Mohamed Atta," Frederick L. Jones II told the paper. "NSC staff reviewed the files of Mr. Hadley as well as of all NSC personnel. That search has turned up no chart."

Hadley a member of the Bush administration, is apparently going to deny this all the way...its his word against Weldon's. Somebody is lying.

Ive focused repeatedly on Hadley and his own particular CHART as significant in this investigation...it makes liars out of Slade Gorton and others on the 9-11 Commission.

We now have two people in the current Admin who are noteworthy...

Stephen Campone denying that he witnessed a presentation to Shelton in March 2001 timeframe which allegedly mentioned Able Danger...

Stephen Hadley denying that Atta was on a chart he received from Weldon two weeks after 9-11.

Obviously...both Hadley and Campone need to be put under oath and queried in front of Congress in public hearings.

IMO, although this stuff is POST 9-11, these people are the gatekeepers in getting into the truth about AD and its findings PRE 9-11, and the actions of the previous administration. If Hadley's implied and Gortons direct characterizations of Weldon are allowed to stand...and they WILL be assisted to a large measure by the LIBERAL MSM... as in this article...then any attempts to get at the truth of the Clinton admin and AD will be made much more difficult.

This investigation has to proceed in an orderly, methodical fashion...as a prosecutor would in peeling away layers of an onion.

Lets see what develops....

Is there anyone that has the CSPAN copy of Weldon showing the chart? Destroyed or not, they cannot deny it existed... You can never destoy info completely... especially when there are so many greedy characters looking for leverage.

Absolutely right. This is about the finest example of MSM bias I have come across in a while. My theory is that since the relatives, friends and survivors of the 911 tragedy have come aboard (they attended the meeting Wed. with Weldon) the MSM and others are going to be running scared, and soon. Since they can't and wouldn't dare go after 911 relatives they go after Weldon.
Their(the msm) best bet is to poo- poo the story from the start. Act just like the 911 commission did. Pretend it's not even there. Make all involved look foolish, or lie their way through very spotty coverage which is what Wash Post is doing.
They are as biased or more so and even slicker then the NYT. The wash post manages to slide in an even-handed story in every now and then.
But they all have the same agenda, down with GW and our party.

That's why we have the new media and we will eat their lunch every time and this time will be no exception.

In fact, the video of Weldon's Heritage Foundation speech offers strong - albeit circumstantial - evidence that the Able Danger chart did indeed exist - and that it identified lead hijacker Atta.

1. If Weldon gave the chart to Hadley in 2001, how could Weldon have it at the Heritage Foundation in 2002? Evidently Weldon did not keep a copy because I saw him on C-SPAN the other day displaying a chart that he admitted was a reconstruction.

2. Supposing that Weldon gave Hadley a chart showing Mohammad Atta two weeks after September 11th as he claims, this still would not prove that Atta was identified before September 11th.
