Today the President went to The headquarters of FEMA to be briefed on the relief efforts underway for Hurricane Rita , he also awarded Korean War era veteran Corporal Tibor "Ted" Rubin the Medal Of Honor for his bravery while in captivity at a Chinese POW camp, President Bush then headed for NORTHCOM headquarters to oversee the the coordination between Federal, State and Local officials as the Hurricane lands ashore

What I had assumed that as they told NO to evacuate a couple of days ago that had also applied to the coast why only today.

Will Rita delay him?
Yes, I've talked to Mike several times today...they are having a Tropical Storm in NO...said it hasn't been too bad yet...they moved them all indoorsin an already damaged building....Im praying he doesn't have to go to wherever Rita hits...he promised me he would be home the first week of Oct.
I wonder if President Bush ever gets to go to a Sanity Island? Poor guy must really need to find one by now! He must wonder why he ever wanted this job sometimes.
