Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

Don't-you-know-who-I-am Sheila Jackson-Lee is?
Perhaps at Nagin's new digs in Dallas????
We keep having brown outs. Handing the computer over to my son.
BBL.
Everyone stay safe!
You made me cry.........and my sides hurt. You owe me a new laptop.
I notice the guys all hate Shep. Every male in my family does. I think it's jealousy. ;)
Me too, though some charges must be answered, sometimes with cold, hard facts and most of the time with laughter and sarcasm. I DID have a woman tell me about two weeks ago that George Bush only let all those people die in NO because he was gonna sell the oil to Big Oil. I laughed in her face and said I'd been joking for the past week that President Bush had used secret technology to engineer Katrina in order to destroy LA and steal their oil, bur NEVER expected someone to say it seriously. That didn't change her mind, but it DID fend off doubts from people who could overhear us. Oh yeah, she also recommended that I quit getting my news off the web and stick to CNN. Which I also laughed and at and informed her I listen to FOX while surfing the news.

Ewww
I laughed so hard at the antics of pretty boy that I got tears in my eyes. Just waiting for Geraldo to one-up him.
keeps your teeth clean and you skin exfoliated
So far so good. I'm all coffee'd up and ready to rock.
Cool, I am all liquored up and read to roll!
You're right. Greta just had a news alert with weather guy saying that exact same thing.
I can't believe you caught that..he was up so fast..
Get on the KPLC live feed and you won't think "anticlimactic" - the reality and gravity (and humanity) of the situation is so much more accurately portrayed by the local broadcasters in these situations - the big national media sucks on these types of stories . . .
From the satellite pic, it looks like it might be raining to the East of Oklahoma City. It might even be raining in Tulsa, but the satellite pic does not show enough of Oklahoma to know.
It looks like Dallas/Fort Worth and the Mid cities are getting rain... Apparently, this storm will be a rain maker...
He says it's weakening.
Nagin's digs in Dallas - good one!
