Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

I try to avoid CNN at all cost...
what does that mean?
I send hostile letters to although they never seem to get anwered. Wonder why?LOL
Hi, lady! I am out of lurkdom for the night. Did you notice Shep was hanging onto a metal pole, rofl?
LOL, during Katrina, the newsfolks out in the storm brought on visions of turkeys drowning in the rain.
He's creepy isn't he
LOL. I'm in Mobile and it's been very breezy from the east for three days now. Something big is out there.
The storm seems to be slipping east, so Port Arthur and Beaumont might be a bit to the "calm" west side. There go the TV ratings. We MAYBE are getting really lucky with this storm. There are 21 oil refineries in Port Arthur, or so I read. Lake Charles might be the worst hit in damage. It has a lot of refineries too, apparently, but not like Port Arthur.
I have heard two different predictions on Fox. 1 AM and 6 AM. I have no idea which is correct.
Just stupid silliness to take the edge off the storm watch. Sometimes humor is the best dramamine.
Shep must have figure skated in competition. He got up fast hopeing the judges didn't see.
Greta's into Scientology?
Really? I didn't know that. Ewwwww.....
OMG...I can't stop laughing..LOL!!!!!
sw
I swear....I'm laughing hysterically! More wine for me.
You know what is funny, also....we laugh at Greta, Geraldo, and Shep...but dang...Fox gets the best ratings..
So either everyone else watches to laugh...or someone is buying there performances...
Oh, I forgot...the competition...never mind...NOW, I remember why Fox gets the good reason...I NEED a glass of wine...or better yet...one of sinkspur's margeritas!!!
ok friends... start here:

I guess I'm a little late . That was funny though.
That's my line :-) (I was busy with listening to the KPLC feed)
landfall about 1-3 am central it seems.
I grew up in Wolfforth. It ain't the wind that sucks, it the sand hitting you at 77mph that sucks.
