He estimates 250K gallons of school bus diesel alone

I wonder how much fuel is used nation wide with unnecessary busing. I wonder how that would effect prices.

"Tough mouse, took three rounds."

I hear tell some snipes can take even more rounds than that. Always trouble, those snipes.

Old. We were saying that the old movies are the best, even if we've seen them. Alan Ladd and John Wayne! Those two movies are good ones.

Now they're talking to some guy on a boat in the port of St. Charles?? Said he is not going off the boat. Said he's on a "156" "Crew boat". Shipping vessel originating out of Cameron. Said he's got a few big boats around them.

(I heard that stuff about the 18-wheeler. Mayor said they have no clue about the fate of the driver and no-one will be going to check on him. I pray he's alright and can find some shelter, but they said those bridges are over 100 ft. high... as the reporter said - who in their right mind...)

got home from dinner, turned on the tv and Geraldo was on. Flipped the channel, and Larry King was on. Flipped it back, and Greta was on.
I finally just shut off the tv.

If you don't mind the commercials, TWC is good.

Greta always gets to pick the tame places. Does she consult her Scientology crystal ball first?

MS Coast and Mobile really have better Mardi Gras, anyway. More family-friendly,less violent and decadent, lots more fun and laid back. Definitely cleaner. We all call "Louisiana", "Lousyana". I understand that Texans do,also. They ought to be embarassed at the difference in the way they and their population handle hurricanes, and the way every other affected state has. Even they couldn't possibly be that oblivious to the difference.

I did not catch a lot about the bridge. But The guy on the boat I just posted about is on a 156ft crew boat.

He must have packed in a hurry and forgot his captain's cap. I really can't take anymore of him tonight. Maybe he'll blow away.

I've been away from computer most of the day and just now got on this thread. I haven't heard much about expected weather in DFW area. My daughter has a place in Azle that is vacant and she pays no attention to the news.

Looks like it should be OK right? I'm leaving for Denver in the morning and no computer for a while. That'll hurt.

If you know any more just a quick post will be appreciated.

oh good - I was thinkin Tsunami!

I don't know of any Earthquake faults on the Gulf side. Most of the earthquakes are in Mexico City or the Pacific coast, as I recall... But maybe the Yucatan Pennisula has a fault line or two...

Do you of any tornados in your area? I have family in Dry Creek and last I heard there was a tornado in Kinder.

There are tornado warnings all around us, but thankfully we haven't had any damage. We have only lost power twice for less than a minute. Hope you family is safe!
