Dangerous Hurricane Rita is expected to make landfall in the northeast Gulf of Mexico within 24 hours. Tornados have spawned in Louisiana. Water is filling the Ninth Ward of New Orleans again. A bus carrying elderly evacuees was gutted by fire this morning outside Dallas, with multiple fatalities. Television crews have positioned their hurricane reporters throughout the region to attain maximum drama effects. Whoooooa.

It looks like I am indeed wrong. There's only an hour to go, and it looks like my forecast will be a bust. Gee. Its too bad I'm only one of those book-learned jackasses. (/sef-deprecating off)
I can't believe how hot everybody is about their opionions about which 95% are uncertified. Wow. What a bunch of fragile ego's (perhaps jealous maybe).
OMG. He really went nuts that night/day. I think that was when he was a the NO Convenetion center right?
If I am not mistaken, Sender was attempting to add a little levity.
Your post was much appreciated.
For years seismologists were puzzled by random 'squiggles' on their charts that didn't correlate to anything.
It's not been long since they discovered those 'squiggles' were caused by tornadoes touching down.
Did you read several posts ago about 100k being without power?
I was wondering if where that was.
Someone really needs to pick up on this and get busy!
Put a crown on it and somehow your Katrina Family Float pack reminds me of an evil Mardi Gras Float.
Pretty interesting.
I don't think we have seen Shep since Drama Queen #1 showed up. Wonder what he is up to. Hard to believe after his melt-down in NO that he would want to go through this again in Ground Zero.

That was it! Whooooa, WHOOOOA! I can hear it now, as I picture the sorry scene in my mind. I like Steve Hannigan, but that whole performance was just tooooo much. Maybe he was taking a lead from Geraldo? Watching them takes away from what they are reporting.
Even if the hurricane lessens as it comes ashore, did I read ---- that since there is no other driving force, like weather fronts to push it, that it will sit and just drench the area? They are talking about 25 inches of rain? Not storm surge -- just rain?
Ask and you shall receive.

Bumper sticker now, T-shirt in a few.
BWAAAAAAAHHH!
That was so funny my tummy hurts.
I read somewhere that Greta lets her fellow Scientologist husband pick out her clothes and hence why she has no style.
I think we can safely say John Conyers had the impeachment papers ready to go.
Unbelievable.
Have been away...but I changed channels and got two different times that the hurricane is supposed to hit..
One station said 1:00AM....and another said 6-7:00 AM...
Please can someone inform me of that...and whether Houston, Galveston are still predicted to be hit very hard???
I wish some producer would tell Geraldo that he keeps mispronouncing Sabine.
It doesn't.
Just spoke with my neice in Tomball, they're outside having a hurricane party. She said breezy and a few sprinkles every now and then.
No power outages here. Must be in North Houston or maybe Galveston.
Of course, our neighborhood is safe as Reliant doesn't want to lose $$$ by having our power out.
