"Wear Red" Friday

You will soon see a lot of people wearing Red on Fridays. Here's why..... The Americans, who support our troops, are the silent majority. We are not "organized" to reflect who we are, or to reflect what our opinions are. Many Americans, like yourself, and all their friends, simply want to recognize that Americans support our troops. Our idea of showing our solidarity and support for our troops is starting Friday and continuing on each and every Friday, until this is over, that every red-blooded American who supports our young men and women, WEAR SOMETHING RED.

Word of mouth, press, TV -- let's see if we can make the United States, on any given Friday, a sea of red much like a home football game at a University. If every one of our memberships share this with other acquaintances, fellow workers, friends, and neighbors, I guarantee that it will not be long before the USA will be covered in RED - and make our troops know there are many people thinking of their well-being. You will feel better all day Friday when you wear Red! So let's get the word out and lead by example; wear RED on Fridays.

Geez. :( Never had *this* problem before today. I didn't have my TGIF template on this pc, and went to last weekend's thread, viewed source, copied it, updated the links, titles, dates, and pasted it in FR Post Article Form. Previewed. It was HORRIBLE!!! Spaces everywhere. Had to reformat the whole thing, which makes me even later than normal ((for a Friday) getting it posted. Sorry. :(

Did you work on it in notepad on XP on your new computer?

I wonder if that is the same problem I was having with spaces appearing everywhere in my code when I viewed it in the posting window on FR? Remember, I told you about that? It would take me forever to fix all the spaces.

I think I discovered what the problem was. You might try this: make sure, under "Format" to have "Word Wrap" unchecked. I am not 100% sure that is what solved the problem, but it is worth a try.

Dirty Laundry

Read:

Distinguish between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean. —Leviticus 10:10

Whenever my husband and I leave the house, our dog Maggie goes sniffing for old shoes and dirty laundry. She surrounds herself with what she finds and then sleeps with it near her nose. The familiar smells comfort her until we return.

Of course Maggie doesn't realize she's following a levitical command to "distinguish between . . . unclean and clean" (Leviticus 10:10). Nor does she know she's violating it.

In a world still swirling in sin long after its catastrophic collision with evil, God commanded His followers to live holy lives (Leviticus 11:45). Distinguishing between clean and unclean is essential to that task.

Such discernment requires more than finely tuned physical senses. The apostle Paul wrote that the "natural man"—that is, a human being in his sinful state—"does not receive the things of the Spirit of God . . . ; they are spiritually discerned" (1 Corinthians 2:14). It is the Holy Spirit who provides this wisdom (v.13).

Just as Maggie finds comfort in old shoes and socks, many people seek comfort in old dirty sins. We must be mindful that our comfort and consolation come from God, who loves us and who establishes us in "every good word and work" (2 Thessalonians 2:16-17). —Julie Ackerman Link

Yes, and yes. :) I also think a lot of it is the way John has it set up with all those horrible indentions on every line. I HATE that! I hate it, I hate it, I hate it!

I thought about that, but I needed to keep a copy of the text in my files anyway, so I fixed all the source code from FR to work for copy and paste from now on.
