Extremely dangerous Category Four Hurricane Rita continues to move toward landfall along the northwest Gulf of Mexico shoreline. Mandatory and voluntary evacuations continue across Texas and Louisiana coastal areas. Lake Charles LA is providing evacuations by bus for residents who have no transportation.
Traffic gridlock in the greater Houston area was compounded by gasoline stations without fuel, long lines at those stations still carrying fuel, and record breaking temperatures on the first day of autumn.
Offshore drilling platforms and rigs, as well as oil refineries, petrochemical and natural gas plants are in the path of the storm. Wave heights recorded by buoy have exceeded 38 feet. The refineries threatened by Hurricane Rita are on higher ground than those affected by flooding from Katrina. As a result, speculation abounds regarding future prices for winter heating fuel and gasoline.

Dangit! Never could spell that right. I always thought it was "dudden." Serious story here. Before my husband and I got married his Mom commented on my Texas accent. (Dang Yankees) Anyway, she had the audacity to ask me if I had trouble learning to read and spell because we drop our "g"s. I told her "We don't spell it different, we just say it different." (LOVED using incorrect grammar just to tick her off.) Then I went on to mention that I graduated from high school with honors.
Sad thing is, it didn't make any difference. She still gives me grief about the way I talk. She better not get on to my kids though. Yes, please, correct them for incorrect grammar, but don't you DARE try to tell them that "fixin'" isn't a word because if you do, I'm fixin' to kick your butt! Ok /rant off Thanks for your patience. LOL
Dont forget he tried to kill the homosexuals in the keys with both this hurricane and Katrina.
You ARE good! You need an award or sumthin'.
Me? I need chocolate!
Texas lawyers seem to be a much better breed in general than their counterparts elsewhere. If memory serves, a couple of the men on the wall at the Alamo were lawyers, and Sam Houston himself was a lawyer at one point.
We still have slimy lawyers, but Texas lawyers as a whole at least don't take themselves too seriously. One of the local ambulance chaser firms here in Dallas has a giant fiberglass shark displayed over their building on I-75.
It should also be noted that our judges are *elected* by the people and serve defined terms.
IF YOU NEED A PLACE TO STAY, CALL 214-819-6310 (24 HOURS A DAY) AND DALLAS COUNTY WILL ATTEMPT TO CONNECT YOU WITH AN AVAILABLE HOTEL ROOM IN A NEARBY CITY.
If you are having car problems on Dallas highways (overheating, no gas, flat tire, etc.), call Courtesy Patrol at 214-320-4444 and they will try to route a Courtesy Patrol truck to you.
He could have done that, or leave a phone number so we could get ahold of him to ask questions!!! It's not fair that he invents the internet then leaves us hanging.
Either way could be bad and it may depend on your elevation. Being 15 feet below the height of the storm surge can turn your home into a coffin (as we saw in New Orleans). I wonder what wind speeds the average automobiles window glass is rated for ? Would have to be higher then 120 mph ? Anyone have that data ? Of course it wont matter if the air is full of flying debris.
LOL I wouldn't expect it now! Hahahaha besides, it doesnt smell as much now. I don't know why I smelled it so strong.
Bet no empty trains leave either.
That's because your talking to yourself :)
Shhhhhh.......don't let anyone know.
His mom took his phone privileges away. Years ago.

Homelite and Mariner got this thing goin', and iffen ya' dont mix it eggsacly right; ya gotta start over.
/rant off, fer now
Hahaha what? How do you sneak in with the same name???
He's a maniacal madman.
Yep! I've been to Uncertain. True story - I stopped at a phone booth while passing through and called someone in Memphis, TN. They asked where I was and I said "I'm in Uncertain." They said "Don't you have any idea?"
I can tell ya but then I'd have to........
Oh Heck! Never mind...........
