While the nation's attention was focused on the Judge John Roberts confirmation hearing, pro-homosexual forces in the U.S. House of Representatives snuck through a pro-homosexual hate crimes bill by adding it to legislation designed to protect children from sexual predators.
...Pro-family groups had no prior notice that this was happening.
...We are urging you to contact your two U.S. Senators and ask that they oppose the inclusion of any hate crime language to this legislation. Capitol Hill switchboard number is 202-224-3121...
...the new hate crimes law will add "sexual orientation," "gender," and "gender identity" to federally protected categories. "Gender Identity" is code for transgenders (individuals who think they are the opposite sex, cross-dressers, or drag queens.)
If passed, this legislation will provide protection for homosexual behavior, placing anal intercourse on a par with race or religion. It will also be used to normalize drag queens, cross-dressers, transsexuals, and she/males (individuals who choose to remain female from the waist up and male from the waist down with the help of hormones.)
This legislation will "federalize" every crime involving homosexuals and so-called trangendered individuals.
...This bill will also deny individuals equal justice under law. An individual who commits a crime against an elderly woman will get a less serious prison sentence than if the victim is a cross-dresser or homosexual. This is unfair and denies all individuals equal protection under law.
...Every crime is an expression of hate against an individual. There is no such thing as a "love" crime of violence. Liberals call these "hate crimes," but what they really want to do is penalize people for their thoughts, which will ultimately prove dangerous to pastors, religious leaders, therapists, and many others....

Do we all know about it?
In regards to our last debate about the murdered transvestite:
Looks like your soluton of punching the guy in the nose will now become a federal crime.
Now these perverts will basically get a free pass to trick drunken men into sodomy.
Get a load of this. Slimy Republicans strike again!
U.S. House backs hate crime measure protecting gays
SEC. 602. FINDINGS.
Congress makes the following findings:

(B) by preventing members of targeted groups from purchasing goods and services, obtaining or sustaining employment, or participating in other commercial activity.
(7) Perpetrators cross State lines to commit such violence.
(8) Channels, facilities, and instrumentalities of interstate commerce are used to facilitate the commission of such violence.
(9) Such violence is committed using articles that have traveled in interstate commerce.

(includes a list of members' votes)
Congress can only regulate the commerce itself, not all the things that could affect it!
bump for later
My Senators are Boxer and Feinstein.....argh!!!
Wrote Mikulski and Sarbanes on their web forms--No pro-homosexual amendments!
Giant waste of time writing and calling senators. Didn't they pass this in the previous senate and house never took it up? If it has passed the house, it will sail through this senate. We can sit home in '06 and put the ones who voted for this out of a job, but there won't be anybody to vote for to replace them. Don't think they don't know it.
None of this makes sense to me - it is already illegal to kill or injure someone. I don't understand how these people think that their lives are worth more than their neighbors... This is a truly sad commentary on the world we live in.
Libs have no interest in punishing crime, only hate.
Hate IS crime, if it's somebody ELSE'S hate.
bttt
What I'd really like is a Constitutional amendment that all votes have to be on the record and public
