Wk 22 Report - DC Chapter Defense of Walter Reed Wounded Continues(9/16/05) Join us Sept. 23rd!

For the twenty-second consecutive week, members of the DC Chapter of Free Republic, FR lurkers, out of state Freepers, Republican Operatives, mil-bloggers and many others gathered across the street from the main gate at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, on the northeast corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW, to show our unconditional support for our troops, their mission and our great country.

Our group began assembling on our corner at 6:30pm, and we discovered that the womyn of Code Pink had already been busy little beavers, leafletting the neighborhood with flyers that suggested the neighbors call the police to complain about our patriotic display and demonstration of support for our troops.

Isn't it interesting - If Code PinkOs were ever stopped from hanging banners from US government property, attaching signs and banners on private citizens' property, trespassing in national political conventions, Capitol Hill hearings, and other events, they would stage strip-ins, lie-ins, die-ins, "pink-slip-drops" and issue press releases, to decry the "fascism and brown-shirt tactics" of those who would stop their law-breaking. But those same America-hating, terrorist-funding traitors are suggesting that the WRAMC neighbors try to stifle our right to assemble peacefully on a public streetcorner. Code PinkO wants only one voice heard, theirs. Code PinkOs are desperate to have us shut down, by any means necessary.

As manure piles up in a horse's stall, the Code PinkOs' numbers slowly grew, to near twenty. Their high for the night was twenty five or so. It's difficult to look at them for the extended length of time needed to count their numbers; you have to constantly fight the urge to gouge your eyes out.

Our Freeper Honor Roll for the evening: Tom the Redhunter, BOBTHENAILER (flew in from Michigan), Concrete Bob (drove up from Richmond, VA), Landry Fan, Jack Deth, BillF, BufordP, 3D-Joy, Bmwcyle, Justanobody (drove up from south of Richmond, VA), tgslTakoma, Kristinn, Fraxinus, Tanker Todd and Mrs. Tanker Todd, mil-blogger Andi, Plea Deal, Our Man in Washington, Annapolis Mom and her daughter, Bill from MD, lurker Kathy from VA, lurker Janine, lurker Joan of Olney. Forgive me, and yell out if I've forgotten you; everyone who stands up for our troops deserves recognition.

The Code PinkOs and their uninformed supporters included the regulars; Gael Murphy, Kevin "Maimed for a Lie" McCarron, Laura Costas, Squeegee Boy, Blue Shirt Ponytail Guy, Little Bicycle Guy, and an assortment of admirers of Gael Murphy.

After the fabulous CNS News report on the weekly Code Pink blood dance at WRAMC, and all the other media and bloggers who picked up on the story, Gael Murphy has had to work hard to try and clean up Code PinkOs tarnished image. The CP website invitation to the "vigil" now reads... "Join us in a peaceful, respect vigil for those inside, candles and signs provided."

So, again this week Code PinkOs' old favorite signs, "Enlist Here and Die For Halliburton" and "Maimed For a Lie," were still in Gael Murphy's DC basement, along with her cauldron, pickled newt eyes, and love letters from Slobo.

Instead, the master deceivers of Code PinkO handed out signs bearing seemingly supportive messages, including:

"Quiet Zone, Soldiers Healing",

"Fund the Wounded, Not the War",

"Protect * Families, Bring the Troops Home Now" (* onto which they wrote in - as an afterthought - military,

and, for their Sandinista Sisters, Squeegee Boy holding "llacaba con La Guerra".

Also present on the Code PinkO side of the street, were blood dancers and supporters of commie front group International ANSWER,
Move-On.org,
Veterans for Peace,
a couple of Mangy Misguided Minstrels standing alongside Plymouth Congregational Church's Leftist-supporting ANSWER Stooge, the Revvvvrunnnnnd Graylan Hagler (in gray ponytail),
Military Families Speak Out,
and Paranoids for Peace.

Our group was large enough that we were able to deploy both of our MOABs for the second week in a row. On the southeast corner, which we keep reserved for our anti-Code Pink messages, we deployed the "Code Pink Kills American Troops, Giving Money To Terrorists" MOAB, which we first used on March 19, 2005 in Fayetteville, NC - much to Gael Murphy and Medea Benjamin's dismay. Fraxinus, Tom the Redhunter, Tanker Todd and Mrs. Tanker Todd all spent time on the southeast corner, telling passers-by about Code Pink's funding the very terrorists who are helping to fill the beds at WRAMC with wounded soldiers. Code PinkOs seemed unhappy to see the pink MOAB these past two weeks. Cry me a river, PinkOs.

On the northeast corner this Freep, we had a very special young guest, who was celebrating her 7th birthday in a meaningful way. She was a delightful young lady whose mom is very proud of her, I am sure. Buford brought them both to giggle with glee when he shouted across the street to the PinkOs at the end of the Freep, "You're a bunch of poopy-pants." I just hope that she doesn't repeat his words at school, though she seemed to be much better behaved than our beloved BufordP.

Assorted photos of Moonbats:

These womyn coudn't get a date on a Friday night. Gee, I wonder why?

A little spat between Squeegee Boy and Little Bicycle Guy?
SQUEEGE: "I told you! Gael says no more signs that say how we really feel about the $#!#*& soldiers."
LBG: "Oh yeah?! Well, she said I'm cuter than you. AND she also said that I make the best tin-foil hats of anyone she's ever known."
SQUEEGE: "So what! I gave her a photo of me in my Speedo, and she said, 'Wow!' and said she needed to introduce me to Midge."
And so the drama continues...

Squeegee Boy - "I come here to meet womyn."

Lefties fight over their US flag...
LOSER 1: "I'm not gonna TOUCH that flag! You hold it; I had to hold it last week, and I still have the rash to prove it."
LOSER 2: "I'm not gonna hold it either. It smells like urine."
LOSER 3: "Hey, let's get Squeegee to hold it."
LOSER 2: "He won't hold it. There's only one thing Squeegee holds, and it ain't a flag, if you know what I mean."

Hey Guys! It's 9 o'clock! Let's beat feet outta here, before the bus from Fran O'Brien's gets here. I'm sick of getting flipped off by soldiers.

Some fun shots of the Moonbats, as they hurriedly pack up their Freakshow...

Code PinkO's support is literally evaporating before their eyes.

Squeegee Boy lost his head tonight.

Look at the hispanic woman in the background... is she laughing?

Photos of the Good Guy side of the street:

BOBTHENAILER manning the northeast corner MOAB

Freep line on the northeast corner.

Tanker Todd and Mrs. Tanker Todd

Concrete Bob and BOBTHENAILER

Our mil-blogger friend, Andi

Somebody (Justanobody) shorter than me!!

She may be short in stature, but she's no pushover. Richmond Freepers can vouch for that!

Concrete Bob staked out the American Sector with his gigantic flagpole. Landry Fan and Justanobody in front of truck, and Bill From MD (?) and Joan the lurker at the back of the truck.

As you can see by this photo, Freepers again this week rushed out into the street and swarmed around the bus full of wounded heroes and their families, making it impossible for the bus to enter Walter Reed. In reality (an unfamiliar state of mind for most Code PinkO supporters), we stand on the sidewalk and along the curb as we cheer loudly and wave our signs and flags in support of these heroes.

"Please join us at the northeast corner of Georgia Avenue and Elder Street, NW - that is the 7200 block of Georgia Avenue.

This is less than 3 miles south of the Beltway, exit 31 SOUTH; and it is also less than a mile from the Takoma Metro station.

As Landry Fan says: "Be there, or be square!""

BUMP!

I'm going to be there, although late. Also working on increasing the above average children count. It takes at least 76 others to fill BillF's shoes with everything he does.

You are so right! We're not trying to silence them, just move them to a more appropriate location. THEN we can try to silence it once they move!

Wouldn't the DC chapter make more headway if they directed some of their energy towards a potential candidate to the U.S. House or Senate?

Come out and see for yourself.

I'm well aware of what they do and I don't need your pseudo-sanctimonious preaching.

NVA, I'd rather hear your pseudo-santimonious preaching from Florida than some pessimistic pseudo-sanctimonious preaching from a Virginian who could easily come out to see for him/herself. But that's just me.

Now is the time for all good men and women
to come to the aid of our country
and show support for our service men and women.

Let's keep this, and every Support the Troops,
thread bumped from now until Monday.

The morale and well being of our troops is at stake.

The only other threads,
of any REAL importance,
over the weekend,
are the Hurricane threads
in the Gulf coast states.

And the importance of the troops
is evident by the military AND fire, police, EMT's etc
being called upon, again, to save Americans.

The politicians and judges are safe,
this weekend,
and every weekend,
because the military protect our Freedom 24/7 365
AND fire, police, EMT's etc are on call 24/7 365

You do not have to be in DC to show support for the Troops.

Visit your local military base today and at least once a week.

Or a military or veteran hospital.

If you can't do that then send an e-mail or package
to our troops for morale support.

Proud Patriots -
Sending care packages,
e-mails, and snail mail
to US Military worldwide.

http://www.proudpatriots.org

We need coast to coast support for the troops, now, more than ever.
