Trial Postponed for Mass. Dad Fighting Homosexual Curriculum at Son's School By Mary Rettig (AgapePress) - The trial of Massachusetts parent David Parker, which was originally scheduled to take place today (September 21), has been postponed. The Lexington man was arrested in April after he attempted to get his son opted out of homosexuality discussions in school. According to Brian Camenker of the Massachusetts pro-family group Article 8 Alliance, the main issue for Parker is that the Lexington School District has banned him from all school property. Camenker says he believes the school district is just using bullying tactics. But at the same time, the district attorney involved in the case is running for State Attorney General. Camenker feels the D.A. does not want to make "a big deal" of this case. "They want to figure out some way of doing a plea bargain," the Alliance spokesman says, "but David Parker's lawyers insist that, unless this whole business of this no-trespass order is addressed, they're not going to agree to anything." The no-trespassing order being imposed against Parker by the school district prevents him from setting foot on any Lexington Schools property, including coming onto school grounds to pick his son up from school, using school-owned walking paths where he used to take his son for recreation, and going to polling places on school property. Parker feels the ban is unnecessary, and that it is being imposed largely to be hurtful. He had hoped the matter would be addressed in the trial originally scheduled for today, and that the ban might be lifted. However, that proceeding has been stalled because of the head of the school district. "The Superintendent of Schools has said he hasn't had time to make a decision yet," Camenker points out. "Now, one has to think, it's been all summer. It's been in the news. How can he not make a 10-minute decision? But this is what he claims." Camenker says the judge in Parker's case has given the superintendent one more month to decide whether to keep the no-trespass order in place, or whether to discontinue the ban preventing the Lexington dad from setting foot on school grounds. |
Then again, maybe he's not in a position to do that?
One other comment - I find it very convenient that the trial would be postponed - with school just getting good and started. Let's just put off the issue....thus nothing changes, and the homo-agenda rolls forward.
By the way - how would any of you handle the school having a "no trespassing" order against you - thus you could not even drop off or pick up your child from school? Any school that doesn't allow me on campus is not a school that my child will attend - period.
Certainly one solution is to pull your child out of the public schools, but not all parents can afford to.
Furthermore, why should he have to do so? He pays his property taxes, which support the public schools. Why should he be persecuted in this way for trying to prevent his son from homosexual brainwashing?
Most schools permit parents to opt their kids out of sex-ed classes, because they realize that these classes can be controversial and they prefer to avoid controversy. Surely the same applies in this case.
It might be better to fight back against this political madness in our schools, rather than pull out, as long as we are paying large tax bills to support these schools.
BUT, why not withdraw his child from the school and enroll him in private school or home school?
Well, perhaps he would like to influnce what is done with HIS money?
It shows just how mean spirited and hateful the homosexuals and their supporters of the left really are when then are exposed, as has been the case here and provides yet another example of how those that demand the most tolerance are the least tolerant of all. They are truly a cancer in our society.
Who is on trial here? Was the father arrested for something? The article is quite vague.
Ping
I agree. This man is performing a public service by publicizing the homosexual agenda in a public elementary school. These educrats know that the vast majority of parents, especially minority parents, don't want their children exposed to this nonsense, and so they want a captive audience with no dissent allowed.
Diversity and Tolerance bump!
It looks like the schools is in a no loss position here. No pain for anyone except the father.
They have unlimited funds, no one will lose their job, or even be demoted.
Unless these types of lawsuits (and there are a satchel full) begin to go for big dollars they will fought over and over again. No one but us will pay any attention to how they come out. They need to tie $10 million to this.
He violated no-trespass order from the school by approaching his child.
What exactly did the father do that got him banned from campus? I can't imagine they did this just because he called them or wrote them a letter to try to get his son out of a class.
And how much is the "Church" shelling out ala lost lawsuits over the Fo de chillin gang??? How interesting.
Amen. The Diversity agenda needs the cover of darkness. The light/glasnost is deadly to it.
He violated no-trespass order from the school by approaching his child.
Those sorts of details are often good things to include in an article.
Ah, a good question. The Dad in question does indeed pay, but he has no choice about the matter. Whether the school offers superior education or crime and STD-ridden schools, whether the Dad puts his child in the school or takes him out, he pays and so does everyone else.
The schools continue to gobble up our money with no real danger of being de-funded provided they keep the lights on and the district out of total bankruptcy. Even them they'll probably be bailed out.
What is needed, nationwide, is for parents to demand the right to be reimbursed for their school taxes if they take their kids out of school. Not a good chance of that happening, LOL.
What, every time a homofascist story in Massachusetts is posted we have to reiterate the grip the homofascists have in Massachusetts? The homos have got homo marriage legalized. We had lesbians teach fisting in public schools. Parker objected to homofascist sex education in a parent-teacher meeting and got arrested. He's not backing down. Massachusetts is the reason Bush got reelected and homosexual marriage bans recently passed in thirteen states.
And don't yell at me. I'm behind enemy lines.
If I recall, the father objected to the fact that his son was being taught pro-homosexual curriculum at school. He went to a school meeting and demanded to have his son removed from class when these topics were discussed. The school official refused to remove his son, and the dad refused to leave school property. They had him arrested.
Homosexual Agenda Ping.
And the saga continues. Kind of ironic that Massachusetts, originally the colony founded by the Puritans of such stout morals that we'd be scared of them today, is now notorious for being the most pro-homosexual state in the Union.
Freedom of religion has turned into freedom of perversion.

Note: Most likely Mr.Parker and his wife could have just taken their son out of school. Or maybe they couldn't - maybe they both need to work. But even so, maybe the Parkers aren't happy that all the children who go attend the schools in Lexington (and no doubt most or all of the pulic schools in Mass) are being indoctrinated that "gay is good". Maybe, unlike many others, they aren't content to just draw the curtains and feel safe and not worry that others are climbing into the handbasket.
