Latest Recon Indicates Rita is a CAT 5 Hurricane

The latest recon report indicated the pressure in Rita has fallen to 920 mb and the maximum flight level winds were over 175 mph. AccuWeather.com Meteorologist believe Rita has become a Cat 5 hurricane.

Hope you're right. MSM would call it a double whammy (after the Bush remark they enjoy quoting).
OTOH, right now, LA would be the least expensive place for Rita to trash.

For all of you out-of-staters: Colorado has catastrophic avalanches every 5 minutes or so. If they don't get you, the blizzards will. And Ward Churchill is the governor of Colorado.
Yeah and Minnesota has 60 Degree below zero weather from Dec 1st to May 1st every year and they make your kids go to Paul Wellstone Memorial school and recite the Democrat Underground motto every day before class. Plus we pay the 5th highest taxes of any state so try New York instead.

WGST has a Pilot on the air who just flew over the storm.... He said this baby is going to be a strong Cat 5... So I am guesstimating around 180mph winds at land fall.
