A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

Even though it probably still feels like summer, fall is upon us - for tomorrow is the first day of Autumn. September 22nd marks the 2005 autumnal equinox, when night and day are of equal length.
Ready or not, the sun will be setting earlier and the days will become shorter. Sadly for some of us and happily for others, it's time to say goodbye to summer. Crisp mornings, autumn leaves, and frosty pumpkins are right around the corner. |
For man, autumn is a time of harvest, of gathering together. For nature, it is a time of sowing, of scattering abroad. - Edwin Way Teale
And, for sports fans, it's time for...

Good morning Sistah! Yep, I'm doing fine. I couldn't let you get ahead of me, so I went and had some holes made in my tummy too. I was in and out in less than a day. Surgery was at 9:00 a.m. and I was home by Five. 9 to 5 is not a bad day's work. How are you doing?

Hey Rus. Thanks for that segment. It's another good idea for a sermon. I think I will use that to put together the sermon next time we have Communion, which will be on World Communion Day, Oct 2. Have you contacted your adversary yet?

What a lovely, lovely presentation. Thank You Lori. Fall is beautiful but for me it is a downer. Cooler weather, shorter days, and WHAT FOLLOWS I DONT LIKE.
Beautiful hostess greeting, pledge(Dave & GKs look alike) & ping!
I wont be here much today. As I mentioned TweetyinOhio and I are starting tonight the Weight reduction support group at church. I am facilitator & she is my right hand woman/helper. It is coed & for ages 12 up (12 - 14 year old must have responsible adult with them). Tweety's daughter Katie will be with us also. She as a 12 year old will benefit greatly by faithful participation.
I am setting up a correspondence part for non = locals. If you are interested FReepmail me your email addy (even if I have it, just be sure, I have anew computer set up w/cable & so am transferring things). I will send you handouts & hope that you will join us in the homework, pix taking, measurements, weigh ins etc. Info is all kept to yourself UNLESS YOU WANT TO SHARE WITH OTHERS. You of course will NOT have the benefit of discussion & my words of wisdom (har) but will have the "sheets". If someone eventually wants to copy/share/email their notes to the correspondies that would be great.
Not so much wanting folks to give starting numbers but over weeks, months to share the inches lost, weight lost, firmness observed etc & maybe some before/after pix
It is going to be a fun class BUT I AM REALLY BEHIND EIGHT BALL.. most of my materials I have used in past years & could merely take to copy machine have been destroyed in basement floods the past year or so. Today I am scrambling to get the materials for class one together..
It is a very complex class. Will NOT involve one weight program but will be a life style change mentality. The spiritual aspect will be stressed as well as holistic health/healing; exercise: toning, stretching, conditioning, aerobic for those interested. The emotional/psychological parts of the issue will be impt part of each class.
We will meet every other wed. On alternate Weds I have a grief(widow/widower) class that I facilitate.
Later all.. love you & will read/catch up later.

Well most of you know that when my Aunt Dolly sets out to do something...she does it..I'm so proud of her facilitating both of these much needed groups in our Church . People have hurt, grieved, and have been just angry for many different reasons, and we have all had our ups and downs throughout our life with our weight, we are only as comfortable with our weight as we allow it. No one is perfect only one is! Our GOD. So with these thoughts I say...WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE? Have a great Day folks. God Bless!

Well since you've got my name on a leaf guess I'd better say somethin. :)
Seriously, I've been quiet all week and am about to explode! lol
A big welcome to TweetyOhio! Am relieved that Nan's surgery is over and she's doing well. Plus a big congratulations to Dutchess on her solo flight, that was just AMAZING!
Just a thought on the colors problem I saw on yesterday's thread (that I tried to read through but darn it, it was just too long). Could some of us be color blind and that's why some are seeing different colors?
BTW.....What make of computer did you get Billie, need details. :)

Did give the eyes some rest and have been getting alot of things done. It would help if hurricane season would wind up, am addicted to the Live Hurricane threads and am having to use alot of self discipline to not read every single comment. lol

A most beautiful thread, sweet *fuzzy*. You never fail to please the eye with gorgeous graphics.
Your lay-out is terrific. Makes me want to roll around in the leaves with my pups. No leaves to play in yet...but soon. : )
Good morning! Smoooooch!!
To: WVNan
Good morning, sweetheart!!! Nice to see you all perked up and ready to roll! : )
((((((((((Nan))))))))))
Take it easy today. : )
To: DollyCali
The Good News is it was just a capacitor that was worn out.
James had one on his truck and we are getting C-O-O-L!

Could some of us be color blind and that's why some are seeing different colors? LOL No, it probably has something to do with monitor settings.
