"Texas is not Louisiana. You won't see that breakdown occurring here.''

LOL.... the adults are in charge! Someone tell the Louisiana demagogues (Nagin, BLankhead, Lanrieu x 2) to take notes....

"The SENATE is going to have HEARINGS on hurricane predicting? That is hilarious...and absurd. Who had THIS bright idea?"

Probably Sen Santorum so he can keep his efforts in favor of Accuweather in the forefront. Maybe the Senate can stall her with a filibuster.

Just saw on Fox that over 200 truckloads of ice/water are ready to deliver to the

Yeah, and I think we all know why they're ready to go to the keys but for the po' folks of New Orleans there was none... ask Minister Farrakhan.

LOL.... the adults are in charge!

Which, of course, the MSM will explain away by saying it's Bush's home state, after all, and the GOP cares about it -- just like Florida!

Sorry, don't know Florida counties very well - I'm just watching a live radar from the National Weather Service and those warning boxes just popped up near the places I mentioned.

someone with some guts needs to ask Mr. Metro what Protocol that we failed to sign brought on Betsy and Camille.
Actually, it's fine with me, they look at this 100% hemp-hugging wacko and thank their stars for Bush v. Gore 2000.

Fox had something on the screen that tornado warnings were issued for Broward County. I do not have a clue as to what cities are in that county.

One Tornado warning area just south of Key Largo, one near Ft. Lauderdale, and something way up near Tampa.

The Ft. Lauderdale one is probably the one I heard was moving toward Davie.

Just regular ol' skates.

That Beltway overpass was oscillating pretty good as folks danced. This was 1989. I was younger and slimmer, so the visual isn't as bizarre as it would be today.

I couldn't remember the year or which hurricane it was but I was living in San Antonio at the time. That was the one where a tornado hit and tore off a part of the roof of the VA hospital, wasn't it?

It was the only time we were ever under a tornado watch/warning the 6 years I lived in San Antonio.

May as well dig out the suitcase now. She went from TS to Cat 2 in just a few hours. And the best dynamics are still ahead of her. CAT 3 easy and a 4 wouldn't surprise me.

Algore said that Katrina was but the first sip, the first taste, of the bitter cup that has been proffered to us by climate change due to our refusal to sign the Kyoto Protocol.

Tell Gore to read the NOAA archives and then to STFU.

The frog would hop in, see my cat, and decide to fend for himself outside, I suspect.

My husband and I like to think the frog is like the one in the cartoon that sings and dances until you open the door, and then he goes "ribbit."
